Yes, His mom, Debbie, has been a driver for a long time. She is a wonderful woman. I cannot imagine how much pain she and her family are enduring now. I know the whole family and they are great people. It is such a tragedy to lose a young man such as Chris. They are a close loving family. Please keep them in your prayers.
OMG!!!!! Was it an overdose? People are so ready to start gossip. Not that it matters,I am just concerned.

Chris graduated from Corbin in 97. Chad is his step brother not his cousin. He is a life long friend of mine and you couldn't find a person with a bigger heart. He has a daughter who is 8 and living with her mom in Louisville. This is a horrible thing that has happened and please keep the entire Rogers family in your prayers. Larry and Debbie have been through enough already.

I don't know what happened. I read what was in the news journal. I am sure if it was an overdose it would have been accidental. Chris was never one to do drugs. He was a smart person. I have known him since he was a little kid and he was always a great person. I am sure there will be tons of stories going around until the autopsy reports are back. I believe with all my heart that he would never do anything to harm himself intentionally.

So you believe everything a CORBIN newspaper tells you?
Prozac - umm yeah
Anti-Dep - We don't know what it was but Chris just went through a divorce, and rarely got to see his daughter.
Lorcet - I'm pretty sure Chris had a perscription for that.
So basically you are just assuming a drug overdose because the world famous Corbin News Journal is making it out to be that. How about we all wait and see what the real cause of death is, and if it turns out that you "Assumption" is correct, congrats you read something really rare in a Corbin newspaper - The truth.
I read the truth in local papers all the time. It is sad that this happened, but don't blame the reporters. He was probably just partyiing to hard and something bad happened. No fault, no blame, just how life plays out. RIP Chris and prayers to his family.

Heard he was out partying with Bronson Fugate and others that night and that the house he was found at was Bronson's grandpas. Dont know about drugs but heard he could drink anyone under the table.
He could have had a previous unknown medical condition or something.

I do blame the "reporters". Decent reporters would not put a death of that nature in the newspaper. Trashy move on the part of the News Journal.

I disagree, we need to all be aware of how drugs and alcohol are stealing our friends and family.
I am a good friend Of Chris he was a kind decent man with a great family and who was an addict.
And addiction ends up in one place death or prison.
It also always ends up with a grieving family.
For those that knew and did nothing but enable shame on you. For those of us who have said enough is enough, im tired of the drugs, the alcohol and the "partying" we must be bold enough to make a stand. I loved Chris enough to tell him no. Did you? For those of you who want to ignore the truth, grow up.

Well said Mark, addiction is real and it kills. Open your eyes people before we lose anymore of our family members.

he was out partying with bronson and david brimm at dino's earlier that night. and it breaks my heart that anybody left him alone to die on a porch. chris was a great person and would always help someone out. he may have been through a divorce but he was a fighter. no matter what he should have never been left outside!! the whole situation is painful and hurts because we lost a wonderful person.

Absolutely. Good on the Corbin Times for not publishing private matters like the other rag.

Decent reporters report the truth and the truth could save someones life. Addiction and mental illness is not soemthing to be ashamed of. Stop trying to protect a lie. I am a recovering addict, sober 11 years. People who want to keep it private in my opinion are in denial and that wont help anyone. We did loose a wondeful person who was struggling with addiction, and anyone who assisted in his "partying" knowing he was an addict in my opinion are culpable for his death. And they were and are not his friends.

I haven't seen Rogers since High school but I know he was a great guy then and it really hit home when I heard of his death. I don't care how he died I just know it shows us all that it could be us at anytime and that life is very short! Make sure you appreciate the time here!! Rogers you will be missed!!!
