I was going to agree with you about what is a laywer doing on topix.(makes me feel and sound stupid...lol) but then you pushed it and started acting like an idiot. Why do people feel the need to insult and show their stupidity on here? The language alone is enough to make their mothers cry.

Do not have a dog in this fight but have known Teresa a long time and she has never been rude to me (and we are not friends in anyway) and for her age she looks d*mn good have only been to the Depot twice but it seems to pull in the business, glad to see something downtown that does! Lived here most of my life and would rather see people from here making money off of this then out of towners just setting up shop and moving on!

If Teresa is lucky enough to be granted a license and can make a go of it with her partners then more power to her. She is as entitled as anyone to make it with hard work and determination. And I agree that folks from our community should benefit from all this and not the carpet baggers from out of town.

you morons don't understand enough to be throwing around these accusations. the liquor license will not be teresas. She simply bought in to paul taylors liquor mart just like plenty of others do. That's how all of his liquor marts are run. You buy into it with a large lump sum and recieve yearly dividends. Fuckin idiots.

I dont live in corbin anymore but got to read the list of options to go get liquor that applied. You will not have to worry about bruce and teresa geting one if they take their biploar partner kurt kraus in to negotiate it.if he turns into HANK,and HE WILL, even if they get one hell run everybody off.then next on the list is terry forcht.FUN FUN.HA.then if thats not enough then you get to pick from the crawfords which means you may get dumped in an abandoned mine if you piss them off,or butch hart and probably get worse.jack and paul taylor will be the place to go. They actually know how to run one.Overall a scary list.

What makes you think Teresa is a good business woman? If it wasn't for her x-husband Craig, and the Jasper family, she probally wouldn't of stood out as being a business woman of any kind. She's not all that pretty. Just slim enough to wear pretty clothes and keeps herself fixed up . I've seem prettier if given the chance to fix up could beat Tresea all to pieces.
Paul must have had a weak moment when aligning himself with Bruce to try and get through on this deal. I have known Paul for several years and thought he would have used better judgement to get this done. When you deal with the Devil and the worst turns out, you must blame yourself. We will just have to see how this plays out.
If you would read the paper, and see someone has gone with (3) different names to get a location for business. Surely the ABC can figure this out also.
There are at least 8 of 12 in this game who should have a chance and you know who you are.

Teresa is a bad person! I left depot cause I was asked to move from her barstool. oh her bar was empty and she wasn't there. I know what she looks like. Bartender asked us to move down. We did tipped less and left after one. Not hanging or plan on going back any time soon.

Please stop judging people just because you don't agree with their legaly right actions. As far a theCarpenters are concerned I would rather by from a local owned place anyway. I believe alot of people in Corbin need to be thankful that we are getting some local owned stores here. Stop judgeing honest hard working people that have money and are trying to give it back into the comunity...If you don't like it don't shop their or eat or go to thier place of business. BTW I will support any local owner 1stve while in a fancy seat!

Liquor World will be the place to go regardless. They are opening a full-fledged party store. Wesley Morgan has been in the business for 30 years. He knows what hes doing. Hell, hasn't anyone seen their new store in Manchester? It is 10 x better than Liquor Mart.
Bootlegger Prices

I don't mind Carpenter getting a license, but I do mind if the same group with Paul Taylor, Jack Taylor, Frank Shoop, Ernie and Kenvin Durham get 2 or more licenses. These people already own liquor stores together all over the state. Then they will start fixing prices and they will be charging as much as a bootlegger. Knowing how the city works, they will probably get all 3 licenses thats why they applied for 3 different stores, just juggled the partners around. City needs to at least give 3 licenese to 3 different people so there will be price competition. Not to mention all these people live in Richmond.
