You can actually go to the court house and pay a certain amount, depending on the offense and time since it occurred, and have it expunged from your record. I am not sure if it work in every case, but that is what we used to tell people to do when i used to look over resumes at a place that I used to work when we would do the background checks.

Unfortunately, it is generally not possible to have a felony conviction expunged. Legislatures have greatly expanded the conduct that has been described as felonious, and many people have straightened up and do not deserve the lifetime disability. Being "tough on crime" is always politically popular, and concern for those branded as criminal seldom is, until it really hits home. With the exception of drug possession crimes after proving to a judge that you have been through a meaningful rehabilitation, you don't get rid of a felony under Kentucky law unless you happen to be well-connected enough to get a gubernatorial pardon(with only enough exceptions to prove the rule).

They can get a job just like everyone else put in an application. The are not going to get a CEO job or nothing fancy but any manual labor or restrant job would be an option.

The type of felony has a lot to do with what type of job that youre looking for. Be honest and explain on your application or interview and maybe the interviewer may determine that your particular conviction will not affect your job performance.

Yes, jobs are scarse right now, but the job shop is always an option. Anything should be better than prison.

You mean restaurant. Don't feel sorry. That's a hard word to spell. Most folks around here can't write a simple sentence. LOL

i have no felonies but i have alot of misd. & i tell the truth on my applications. so needless to say they never call me back. but i have straightend up my life & just trying to do right. i just dont understand if they do drug tests & u r a hardworker why should it matter what u did in the past? this world is very unfair. they dont want to give felonies a 2nd chance & they wonder why they turn back to the life of crime. they gotta make money & live too.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Scorpio

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
