That would definitely be a good thing, but i haven't ever heard of it happening.A case in my family kinda happened like that and the cops just looked at it as another dopie dead. It's sad because people with drug problems have families that love them also.

I agree also "speaker of truth." When something horrible like this happens everyone just wants to grieve, which is good. But they never acknoledge the fact that this COULD have not happened. He could have made better decisions, he could have stopped doing what he was doing- he didn't. It breaks my heart that this family is going through this, but this is something they need to make a point about. Use his story to make it known that drugs is NOT something to mess with. One simple mistake like he made and your life is over. By using his story they could possibly save someone else's life.
May God look over this family.

Austin did over dose yes and he did make a lot a bad dessions but that doesn't make him a bad person he was my best friend and to make a statement that he is goin to spend an eternity in he is just cruel and disrespectful. He was a genuinely good person and had a huge heart. Everyone makes mistakes and those of us you knew him are heart broken. You obviously have no heart hide uncle never gave up on him. You shouldn't broadcast things that you have no clue about. Mike did everything e could for Austin and never stopped trying. Austin was so smart and funny and just an all around wonderful person who unfortunately had to leave us to be with GOD in heaven. I know he is up there watching over us in heaven right now. Austin was a strong believe in GOD an knew where he stood. Anyone who actually knew him could tell you them same. It's really disrespectful and just plain rude to make these heartless comments on here. Everyone ha the right to hve there own opinion but at the same time that doesn't mean you hve to go out of your way to hateful and ignorant. It honestly makes me sick to think that someone could be so heartless just to try to put others down. This is a very sad time for alot of people. So with that being said please don't make anymore ignorant comments that you have know knowledge about!

Come on people have some class and respect. REGARDLESS of HOW it happened, it happened. ALSO we must remember this was someones Son, Grandchild, Brother or Sister.

Instead of worrying about how he died, people should be worrying about what is going on in their own backyards. If you must say something, why dont you say I am sorry to his family and pray that it never happens to you. If ignorant Bastards such as yourselves were in this families shoes, how would you feel if people were writing horrible stuff such as this?

So the next time you get finger happy and want to post on TOPIX, remember, it could very well be a family member of yours one day.

My respects to the Family of this Young Man. I do not know them personally but have a friend who knows them well. I think it is sad that people have nothing better to do with their time than sit and throw rocks, when I would make an educated guess that the same thing is probably going on in their own lives. Sad Sad.

Speaker of truth wrote:
The truth is that kid had all the chances in the world. His uncle gave up everything to try to make his future better and he kept on living the life he wanted to. He made his choices and he ended up overdosing and killing himself, is it sad yes, is he looking down from heaven on us? Probably not, truthfully he's probably going to spend the rest of eternity in hell. It breaks my heart for him and the rest of his family, but no one is saying the truth because people think you should only speak nicely of the dead, I have a different opinion, speak truthfully and maybe this won't happen again to some little child. He overdosed on drugs, his choice to take them and it was his choice on the people he associated with. He died, and he is probably in hell. Use him, use him to show other children what waits them if they continue on the path that Austin traveled. Use him to keep kids and adults alike off the drugs. I know a lot of people are going to be upset about this but most people know that this is true. There is nothing cool about death, no glory, no honor, no justice. Once you're dead you're dead there is nothing left for you here. Don't make the same mistakes this kid did. Make better choices, use intelligence, take advantage of opportunities that preset themselves. Make a difference, make your life a difference, don't end up like Austin Petrey who is now in a box because of drugs. Use the pain to make a difference.
Instead of babbling on Topix, why do you not go out and speak to Children and Teens personally? Furthermore, who are you to say this Young Man is burning in Hell? People like you are what gives Christianity a undeserved bad name. You have some good points on using your intelligence, etc. Why cant you use what little you have?
