President Barack Obama will be speaking at the University of Miami on Thursday afternoon at the BankUnited Center Fieldhouse, but he will also make a private visit to the College of Engineering, the Miami Hurricane student newspaper reported on its website Monday night.

You are right, it's called good-old fashioned home training and with the diversity that we are seeing now in this country, it is becoming a lost art. Parents don't bother to teach their kids anything any more, they leave that to the teachers who already have their hands full trying to be an arbitrator, a preacher, a nurse, a parent and most of all an educator. Parents need to get back to teaching their kids things like respect, self-discipline, personal reliance and perseverance. If they did, we wouldn't have so many living on the dole.
