As far as EMS and Fire some of them need to take better care of themselves. Some fitness training would be better than a food budget. I'd rather see them give them all a gym with new equipment than an allowance for food. They need to stay outa KFC it is loaded with fat and not good for you anyways.

You said it there are a few that could stand to loose some weight. They have one heavy girl with really long dark hair who works ems the last time i saw her she had a hard time even getting in the ambulance.

Yeah and that is a shame slim fast. I believe that if you work for the county as Police, EMS, Fire and you waist is larger than your shoulders you should seriously consider some type of fitness program. How the heck can you be effective in your job if you run out of breath due to lack of health. It is not a good example to our youth!! BETTER to be fit and effective in you position than worry about your next meal.These positions should be run like the military. Healthy body-Healthy mind. Could you imagine our solders in this shape??? Serous lack of self respect...not such a good example..........

Mr. Simonds is now starting to pay for his "support" by taking property to pave roads which has been and still are private roads even when property owners do not want it to the benefit of just one or two families who supported him and he promised he would pave for them. I heard that The Governor has ordered investigations of several officials here. Maybe routine after the Doss issue maybe not........
They do not want to be associated with corruption as it will tarnish his legacy.

If you do not get the answers you want contact the Governors aide they will either look into it or refer you to the right source. Go to the web and e-mail them.

It maybe that it is cheaper in the long run to pave the road than maintain it.

Let's find some real "TOPIX"

Wow....Fannin County finally gets someone as Commissioner thats ACTUALLY doing his job. Cutting expences, streamlining work flow.
Making sure the road department is streamlined might actually save these guys their jobs if the economy acutally gets worse. Having to lay off workers would be bad..but if everything and everyone has work to do and its productive work...they can keep thier jobs! WOW sounds like the real world to me!
MAYBE everyone should be happy they have a job in these times?? And maybe stop complaining and playing the hate game here. But then again..MAYBE we have some personal agendas at stake here? Just Maybe??
The fire department can't go to eat out? Waaaa waaaa....hummmm..well..maybe if you offer to pay for the FUEL and wear and tear (on the trucks over time)it takes to drive your arse to eat out...maybe that might work? Or MAYBE you should brown bag...or WOW maybe even go in together with your other fellow fireman and COOK at the station? WOW....hummm..there is a stove there...right? A refrigerator?? a Microwave??...a sink??? oh wait...you want the county to furnish that...AND you want the County Tax Base to pay for the fuel and truck...and time...to go out and eat. Oh...I'm sorry....but I really don't want my Tax Money to do that for you....is it okay if you just cook at the station?? You can use the electricity I help pay for..and the aplliances my money helped buy....but I'm thinking I want to stop there.
Geeeesh guys...you do a great job serving the county...we can't do without our Fire and EMS...your wonderful...but wake up...be happy you have good jobs...be happy you have the benefits. Quit focusing on the rumor mill....and look at what you can do to help through the rough times.
