1. Anything that is approved in the budget will be paid for by the taxpayers, whether it be sidewalks, roads, leagal advise, litagation, whatever. The taxpayers will pay even if it means taxes will increase. Each time the taxpayers want something new, they should expect a tax increase if it can not be absorbed into the current funding.. Who in the hell else pays for this, folks in Killeen, Austin, New York??

2. I still have not been told what the penalty is for violating the constitition. That is if it was violated.

3. The Leader Press can't even keep their online webpage updated. The only reason that they keep the "scoop" in the headlines is to make money. Good news does not sell, bad news does. Someone should call the Secretary of State's office and ask them about the reporting of the Leader press and then report back to us on what you found out. Please do !!!

4. A common pattern that I see here is that everyone is willing to let the others go if the city attorney is dealt with. Is this true?? If so, then some are using other positions as leverage. Don't get me wrong here, I am very open minded on this one.

5. It also seems like many more screen names, new, are popping up with the same ole same ole. If this is true, lets not play the numbers game, say what you have to say and don;t try and use numbers.

Out here.

Oh I get it, just because you say you responded, means that you did. Well, you did not tell us what was wrong with the reporting in the Thursday, July 11th paper and on and on and on. You made the statement, now back it up with facts, not just directives. Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?

As for your city's idea about the Texas Constitution, you need to check with the press release that your city released because it would seem that there is a dilema between violating election code and violating the constitution. Either way, there will most certainly be a violation and there needs to be accountability. After all, we cannot tolerate violations, remember. That is the standard that the council set.

Once again, it seems that you are being left out of the loop. I remember a quote once that said, "There are people in the loop, there are people out of the loop, and there are people who say, "Loop, what loop?" I think we can easily see that you are in the last group.

Now tell us, why should this violation caused by the council's action be tolerated? Shouldn't you all resign before more harm comes to the city? If not, why not?

We all have our own idea of how the Texas Constitution reads.

Peterson, I will make this clear. You say the L-P article is inaccurate, OK, we get that. Now, pray enlighten us as to the inaccuracies since we obviously aren't privy to the same inforation that you are. You claim the story is inaccurate, we claim we're not buying into it until you tell us how it is inaccurate.
What people are trying to get you to do is list and enumerate the inaccuracies, instead of just make wild accusations angage in childish namecalling.
I was willing to give you a chance the next time you ran for office, but it looks less likely every passing day. Personally, I don't want a mentally unstable child having anything to do with running the affairs of MY hometown!

I have stated the reasons before the biggest one is the false headlind that " The City Won't Shut Down" this was and still is a false headline if the recall is sucessful and 4 council memebers are recalled you do not have a quarum and the city is shut down, Maybe not for 6 month but for at least 3 to 4 months.

Here we go again - "The sky is falling, the sky is falling".
Remember, Halthom City went through this and their city did not shut down!!!!!
If you council members would get a real city attorney he could properly advise you of the requirement to have an election.

Peterson, are you dumber than a bag of hammers?
We get that you see the article as inaccurate. Please, tell us what is inaccurate about the story. Which specific facts did they get wrong. That is what we've hammering you for several topics and three pages about.

Your assertion that with out a quorum of the council the city will shut down. That assertion is FALSE and a baldfaced LIE. The day to day budgeted bills will get paid. The biggest worry for the city, and it is a legitimate one, is that the city manager has only limited authority to conduct NEW business for the 4 months the city will be without a quorum. But the city will NOT shut down!

But, Geddy, I wasn't insulting hammers. I asked if he was _D_U_M_B_E_R_ than a bag of hammers.
Peterson, as to the screen name. I said it before. If you don't believe that is my name, just ask the people I used to work with. And I'm not asking you to recant what you did, just to admit that there were better ways to have done it had y'all taken the time to consider them. As well, you can also enlighten us as to the nature of the inaccuracies in the LP article. Are these things beyond your capabilities and/ or comprehension.
