Visited the restaurant @ lunch time on Sept. 25. The ice tea was certainly not prepared that same morning; the bread sticks were baked thoroughly. Waitress was constantly back to the table to ask if she could "remove the trash", meaning the papers of the sugar. When asked to bring more bread, waitress asked if "one bread stick was o.k.?" Then the food was served: the spaghetti with meat sauce was on a large plate (a place plate - the regular lunch special around $6.95); the chicken arrabiata was on dinner plate - had to get another waitress to ask for a spoon as the regular waitress disappeared ......... then aksed for more napkins and only one was brought to the table. Salads which were part of the menu were never delivered to our table, the waitress apologized only to the person who ordered the lunch special. Overall comment: I know that the restaurant just opened BUT I do not think I will be going back especially since I pointed out the error of the waitress at the cash register area and the only thing which was done about it was "sorry".....

I've been there twice now and thought it was great.
Evidently hundreds in Cove agree with me, because the place is packed for lunch every day.

This is my opinion! If everyone else likes the service and food, it's great for the new restaurant!

I have been once at dinner and once for lunch both times I came away with the same thought. The days the doors opened they became the best place to eat in town bar none. Great food well priced the owners invested allot of money and hard work into the place.

I have been to Bella Sera twice. The first time the service was good as was the food. I just got back from Sunday Lunch there and my blood is boiling. We went with a large party after church and as we couldn't all be seated together we spilt into four tables. My friend and I took a table with 4 of the children aged 2-5 years. We waited ONE AND A HALF HOURS for our food. Not fun with young kids who are hungry and eventually ready for a nap. Our food eventually came and was good even though the kids were no longer hungry as we had to pacifiy them with bread. The Blonde Lady at the front asked us how was everyhting as we left but I guess she didn't really want to know, she just made silly excuses about how it was what we had chosen off the menu as they only have 15 burners in the kitchen. Several tables around us came, ate and left and we still waited, they didn't care, they didn't even offer an apology.
That was all I wanted, just say sorry, nothing else.
Food- good,
service-sorry,
Customer service- pathetic. We won't be back.

Retired Army, you're lucky at least you got an apology.

The blonde lady at the front is their manager.
She was run off as manager at the American Legion after that place had a number of "thefts".

When we ate at this restaurant we thought 'Italian...yum, let's order some pizza'.

We were quite surprised on the size of the pizzas (we ordered two types) small and large. And boy, did they "look" appetizing!

However, when we tried to bite or cut into the pizza end - it was so TOUGH or very hard to cut through; so I just ate the toppings off of 3 pieces and left them all facing up on the pizza pan plate.

The waitress came over to the table to ask us how everything was and didn't even bat an eye to what was laying on the pizza pan.(not observant to her guest table).

The second time she came over to ask if we needed anything, that is when I saw the look on her face...but, did she ask us again if everything was good? NO. She just handed us our check and walked away.

As we were leaving we noticed another couple with spaghetti on their plates; and it looked like they just picked at it, as they were getting up to leave. Actually the spaghetti was noodles with tomato soup looking sauce mixed in it. NO, it was NOT a meat sauce.

We will not be back. Nor will we refer anyone.

No table checking, bad service, no comp for bad food (cuz they aren't observant).

Because I am very knowledgeble with how perfect pizza crust should be, I believe they forgot to put the yeast in the dough to make it rise; OR, worst scenario they didn't prepare enough ahead of time and just whipped it up then plopped it on the pan to cook.

Hope they can learn from our critics here or bring in corporate trainers to train instead of just "winging it".

The Blonde Lady is the Manager but she is not the one who was at the American Legion, that was the lady that looked like a man! If you want to comment at least get it right. Writing the wrong stuff can cause harm and trouble. Just thought you should know.

INCORRECT!!!!
The Blonde Lady you say was run off as Manager of the American Legion is INCORRECT! She has never held that job. I know of all the past and present Managers for the past 10 years at all the surrounding American Legions since I hold a position in the local one! You may want to get your facts straight before putting false remarks in print. Also just to add a comment of my own on the women, I think all four times my family as well as some of the Township Members have been in the, she has always been a very happy and friendly Manager and I think they made a great choice picking her! Her bright smile lights up the whole place.

SCORPION....I am a Manager at the American Legion...I have been for 6 years now and that Blonde Lady has NEVER been an AMERICAN LEGION MANAGER ic Cove, Killeen, Belton, HH, Gatesville, Lampasas, Waco or Temple. So please do not report false statements. It not only make her look bad, the American Legion look bad, but you look stupid.

Today my husband and I took our family to eat at Bella Sera. The wait was zero. We were greeted with a big bright smile from a lady we later found out was the Manager. We thought her to be just the hostess as she took us to our booth.(She asked if we wanted a table or booth..We were grateful for the choice) Our waitress was over in less then five minutes and when she came over she had a basket of bread. Our food was out in under fifteen minutes, which on a Sunday is very fast. The food was not only tasty but enough to bring home. The waitress checked on us several tmes and the Manager did the same. The manager even offered to get us fresh rolls to take home with our left overs to which we eagerly agreed! The food was great. Service was fast and friendly. The place itself needs a little color on the walls and maybe a new cashier since the chubby brown haired women with glasses didnt seem like she wanted to be there. But other then that, we will be going back again.

I'm so glad to see that some of you have had such nice experiences at this place, perhaps they have taken some of the constructive criticism that they they have received and made some changes. If I was in management there I would be doing whatever I could to make customers happy, after sinking as much money into that place as they have. If this is the case we'll see what happens, bad news and a bad reputation spreads in this town like a bad rash, but, as does good news and a good reputation.....We'll see.
