You must admit, in general, people do not run to movies that just happen to come out lately. Unless you are a parent of a toddler who takes the Kids to the Movies to make them happy. But for Adults, the majority of Films that are cranked out today, it is absolutely garbage. I know when a new Movie is advertised on television, guaranteed negative comments are plentiful in most houses in New York, and around the Country. Somebody sees this garbage, someone pays to see it, but is it the new Directors and Producers just putting any old thing out? Remember when things were made in the U.S.A.? Now its China, and what is the results most experience in America? Thats right having or getting JUNK for a product. Same for the Movie Industry lately. Where are the great ones, men of vision, Integrity, reputation, and respectability? 1 'IN ONE HAND' BY ANTHONY BRUNO, is a great realistic story period. A tough Italian American cop during the 1960's I can relate too. I thought I was pretty tough guy brought up back then in the streets of Brooklyn. Missed the two radio shows, but about the book, the events were really interesting. Good reading, but that ending was too shocking for me. If that was me, I would have been devastated too. I understand you live in Middle Village area like me. Maybe we can hook up so you can tell me how that Hollywood star was after you two had an affair. She must have been gorgeous, you lucky devil. My wife liked the book to, she said she thought you were quite the guy with all those affairs you had. Lastly, those nicknames your co-workers had, are just fantastic. I mean I like the character ANIMAL. Did he really do that by the East River? Hope it becomes a Movie one day, I would like to see DeNiro play animal. Cop stories and gangster movies are the best, who cares about Vampire movies today. It's all crap. I am not spending $10 bucks to see crap. What is the matter with Producers these days. It must be the new Breed. Give me the old timers who have vision, and know how to make a real movie! I do not even think at this time, that any Movies are being shot in New York today! This story would be a Financial windfall or as they say a BLOCKBUSTER! Good luck Mr.Bruno One of the Best Books I read in 20 years. Very enjoyable! THE BARZINI FAMILY |

May 8th, 2012 Now a copy of the Book has been given to Actor Paul Sorvino. A Goodfella's story but among cops in the mid 1960's era. After filming 'LAST I HEARD' in Middle Village these past 6 weeks, Paul Sorvino went to California, and wanted to read 'IN ONE HAND' BY ANTHONY BRUNO. Who knows, but it would be nice with his connections, friends, that this Book becomes a Movie on the big screen in the near future. |
