If you sit in the same row as me, there will be at least one gun in that row.

99% of the time, people who brag about owning guns don't know how to use them.

Ya'll are over thinking things. Carry if you have a Concealed Carry Permit, but not because of what happened. You are just as likely to need your gun in a Walmart or anywhere else. Just happens this time one was needed was a theater.

Protection? What, you have a thing for The Batman? Oh well, you can never be too careful.

At the right screening you may end up with a nitrogen bag on your head so be careful and always carry a weapon just in case some ingrate wants to murder with a conveniant cover up story.

Just bring a bear with you, or strap bombs to yourself. Nobody will want to mess with you then.

No you won't need protection. The chances of you losing your cherry at batman are as dismal as they are any other day.

Bring condoms for protection. You have a better chance of getting HIV than being in a shoot out at a movie theater.

If they pass this new gun law, it won't be long before none of us can carry a gun.

Surely somebody in a theater packed with nearly if not over 100 people was packing heat. Why didn't anybody shoot the shooter? Where were the balls of steal? Why no hauling of ass?

Oh. Right. Because Mr. Macho Man can't pull his shit together when faced with real and imminent danger. So yeah. You can go on pretending that carrying a gun makes you better prepared if that's what keeps the paranoia at bay.

No one shot back, because the theater was posted. So the people with legal permits had to leave the guns in the cars. Which, by the way, didnt stop the guy from walking out to his car and getting his AR and body armor.

Since when do CCP holders follow posted rules? Not that shooting back would have been the best idea anyways. More likely than not, MORE people would have been injured in the crossfire, and more panic and confusion would have ensued because when you're trying to shoot an attacker in a dark crowded room, nobody's going to be able to rationalize the idea that somebody is trying to help. They're going to assume there are multiple shooters.

And guns aren't the only weapons on earth, you know. Anybody within three feet of him could have tackled him, or pelted him with pepper spray...or their fist. Hell, throwing a pair of sneakers or a cup of soda at him would have probably stunned him just long enough to get him on the ground. Either everybody was a coward or untrained human thinking becomes considerably clouded in times like these and concealed carriers and people who are usually strong, quick witted, and smart become useless.
