Communism - commune - community

These words all share an idea. Why do you hate it so much? You hate community support and the idea of a classless existence? I dont believe you understand what communism is. Its not anti america like republicans would have you believe.(In communism they couldnt capitalize or privatize government money)

Heres an excerpt from wikipedia

Communism (from Latin communis - common, universal) is a revolutionary socialist movement to create a classless, moneyless, and stateless social order structured upon common ownership of the means of production, as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at the establishment of this social order. This movement, in its Marxist-Leninist interpretations, significantly influenced the history of the 20th century, which saw intense rivalry between the "socialist world" (socialist states ruled by communistparties) and the "western world" (countries with market economies).

If you want to call me a commie, thats fine. Id rather be a hippie communist piece of trash than a capitalist retarted religious zealot that believes everything they're fed without the will to question

If it is so great, why are people dying to get out of these countries and come here?

Communism is like the trickle down theory of reaganonics it doesn't work. Its been tried. In theory it would work. When you figure in human greed it doesn't.

Hey, lawl, are you also Bladesmith?

Your IQ and his seem to match perfectly.

And in case you were wondering, that was not a compliment.

The reason this has been the greatest country on earth is capitalism and the fact that we have successfully fought off socialism and communism (so far, although Obama would love to change that).

Or do you think the internet, iPhones, PC's, Microsoft Windows, computers and everything else you enjoy would have been conceived under a communist system? Really?

You're worse than I thought, and that is saying something.

I challenge you to try to find more things in your house made by a capitalist country than there are made in china or korea. In fact if you could even make 20% I would be impressed

I gaurantee you that I can find more. Appliances made by Fridgidare, furniture made by Lane, dishes by Fiesta, cookeware made by Lodge, washer and dryer made by Speed Queen, all my linens, etc... I go out of my way to buy American made products. They're not that hard to find and don't cost that much more. Even if they did, I would still buy them to help keep jobs in America and to keep this country out of the hands of some communist bastard such as yourself.

Absolute communism is one of those things that sounds great on paper but doesn't work in real life due to man's inherent tendency for greed. Same goes for absolute capitalism. An ideal political/economical system would include both communist and capitalistic features.

Not that simple. Break down the components of each item and you'll leave the country pretty quick. My computer was built here. Everything in it was built somewhere else.

No you don't, because you don't want to pay what it'd cost to build something in America. You're also saying this while on a computer, phone, or tablet built primarily in Japan, Taiwan, or China.

Staying true to their current profit margin, an American made iPad would cost over $1000. Don't even get me started on groceries. I already hear enough people bitching about the cost of fruits and veggies and the field workers who grow and pick them aren't even making minimum wage. I guess essentially forcing people (who are most likely either legal seasonal migrant workers or illegal aliens) to live and work like slaves is all fine and dandy as long as we can slap that "Grown in America" sticker on the box, right? Eat tomatoes in winter? Congratulations. Guatemala appreciates your business.

It is no wonder that america has no loyality anymore. I simply try to promote buying American and every prick in the county has to find something wrong with it. And don't tell me what I go out of my way to do. If you don't like it here, your free to leave and go try out one of the great communist countries.

And here is what makes you people so foolish. Communism is just another example of greed; Marx was greedy as all get-out, this is because he was a child of privilege. As the son of wealthy aristocracy, Marx never worked a day in his life, but spent his entire life in a library. But he had a valuable resource, someone who had actually done extensive field work and was able to share the results of a lifetime of actual fieldwork and factory management, Freidrich Engels. However, the first thing Marx did upon publication of the Communist Manifesto was: take full credit and refuse to recognize Engles as anything but a small contributor to the publication. This is the mind-set of what you truly are, as you proclaimed, a "hippy." This is because you "hippies" are lazy, both intellectually and in regards to actual physical labor, both take effort, neither of which you like to engage in. In 1999, the most populous communist nation on earth, China, changed it's official state motto to "to get rich is glorious," and they embraced this new philosophy with gusto. China, a nation that is now capitalist in all but name, has more millionaires per-capita than any nation on earth now, all newly-minted in the last 25 years. Communism, as you want to describe it, certainly is a wonderful idea (for those want a paradise that can never exist,) but that is because it DESCRIBES a nice, lazy world, "each according to their ability, each according to their needs" is how the manifesto itself sums up it's philosophy. As the theory explains itself in the manuscript, however, it requires that all labor output be administered to the citizenry of the parent of the state, the government, to be distributed accordingly amongst all citizens due to whatever need is expressed by the individual citizen based on varying criteria such as health and ability to earn. What the theory fails to address, however, is that when the number of fully-producing individuals fall below the threshold of majority in the totality of the population overall, and the fully productive become the minority and the lesser-productive the minority, then the distribution will become invariably deficet-spending year-after-year in an irreversible system of decline. Total output will INVARIABLY decrease to zero, and then the ledger will be in the red forevermore. This is not theory, this has been the very case that has caused the absolute collapse of every society that has gone communistic over the last century, and a combined total population of the earth that constitutes a plurality between the USSR and China which have been forced to abandon communism and embrace capitalism in the last 25 years alone. Even th minor players that are left, Vietnam (which has largely followed China's example, opening their markets to foreign goods, accepting entrance into the Southeast Free-Trade Partnership that includes the U.S. and now has hundreds of Japanese-based corporations operating within it's borders, and officially changed the name of Ho-Chi Minh city back to Saigon in 2001) and Cuba have followed suit, with Cuba reduced to continually begging the United States to one again normalize trade relations with Cuba year-after-year. The last bastion of your "true" communist ideal, North Korea, in the world today was never even truly communist to begin with, but they have had so little faith in their own gratness as a nation and people that their new young leader received every year of his formal education in western nations. Only a complete and total "hippy" would still try to make a case communism in the world today, as the last 100 years of actual human history has proven as fallacious, because it was an idea that from inception was championed by, well, only a complete and total lazy hippy in the first place who didn't have a lick of common sense.

I don't see how telling you how it is is "being a prick." Nobody said anything was wrong with buying American. But what they said about the substantial price increase that would come along with it was pretty spot on. It's unfortunate that most Americans aren't willing to pay their neighbors to build the products they use everyday but that's precisely what the situation is, and why companies outsource to begin with. Or if you're like me, you don't outsource but are forced to shut down due to being thousands upon thousands of dollars in debt. Just as sucky a situation.

Actually look where stuff is made. Just because it has a decades old name brand no longer means its made in usa. LL bean, london fog, levis,RCA just to name a FEW are made elsewhere.

CC Flison still made clothing in the USA. But who can afford a 200 dollar pair of pants or a 400 dollar pair of boots?
