he is a contractor, seems to hire it all out. Depends on what you're using him for. Jimmy jones does all his digging, he is good, skip the middle man and just call him.

Ed is building the new subdivision off of 12th st.on the grade.. drive by and check it out and talk to some people that live there and they will tell you not to have any dealings with him. He is a crook and takes advantage of people. Beware!!!

Yes I believe this we have some friends that live here and the house they bought is not built good at all. The lights cut off and on and after talking with Ed Butler he tells them that its the code that your lights should trip the breaker everytime 2 or more things are plugged in. Well I am calling bs on that one. I drove by there yesterday and the first house was nearly flooded from all the water. Where does this man get off taking advantage of people and flat out lyin' about things. If it was my house I would sue him.

Ed Butler Sr. or Ed Butler Jr? Which one has the construction business? Heard some of the former employees were happy working for the construction Butler!!

All I have to say about this is, before people start saying negative things about people and companies, you really need to get the facts right. Ed and his company have helped alot of people by building that subdivision. I have talked to several people who have bought houses over there, and they have nothing but great things to say about the houses and about Ed.

Sounds like to me that the circuits were overloaded and THATS why they kept tripping. You can't plug everything into one circuit and expect the breaker not to trip. That is all just common sense.
Oh yeah

Breakers don't know what they talking about. Sounds like to me that something ain't right with the electric in that house. I have been by there and it looks like there is a HUGE amount of work left to do..that road is horid! All the water around that first house, well that house will rot before long. I feel bad for who ever lives there!
Helping people out wouldn't be putting then in a NEW house that the breaker keep trippin' and there is water everywhere and the road is tore up!!
I don't know him but that place looks a wreck for sure!
I KNOW

OH YEAH HAS NEVER PLUGED 2 HEAVY USE THINGS LIKE COFFEE POT AND TOASTERS OR MICROWAVES, HAIR DRYERS INTO THE SAME CIRCUIT AND TRIPPED A BREAKER OR MAYBE ITS A GFI CIRCUIT AND SOMEONE GOT A APPLIANCE WET AND TRIPPED IT. A DRIVE BUY ELECTRICAN IS AS BAD AS A ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK. THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORIE. YOU ALSO HAVE NEVER BEEN ON CONSTRUCTION SITES OR YOU WOULD KNOW ALL SITES ARE MUD AND GRAVEL UNTIL A HI PERCENT OF COMPLETION THEN PAVED.

I am gonna post this comment on behalf of several people that have bought houses in the subdivision that I have spoken with.. none of them are satisfied with this man and the way they have been treated. Most of the units are havin electrical issues in fact one persons air conditioning unit trips the breaker and another person runs out of hot water after 1 shower. So I would advise people to really do there homework before dealing with this man.

We have bought a house there.. A guy that works for J&S lives there and he even said the house was built great. They have warranty also. My only complaint is communication.. They've changed things and failed to mention until we have noticed & I've written several times asking questions and get nothing back. They say everything is either code or weather dependent which is annoying. But overall, no complaints.. Except they are fitting as many house as humanly possible in that place! Also, it's the person who bought that house at the bottoms fault! All u have to do is look at the slope & know water runs down.. Why most fought for the top of the subdivision, like us!

Their are other subdivisions that had problems a family in Biltmore their microwave kept knocking off the circuit breaker it the microwae finally died they paid someone 100 dollars to checkout the wiring the microwave was above the stove they took the microwave out and the whole one side was dented in the builder put in a BAD microwave. Another home hase a large sink whole between two lots. another family just had major yard work done because the builder did poor work and the owner got tired of water laying in the yrds and in their basements. Some homes the builder did not have termite inspection done

That new subdivision I think the houses look nice only problem its two crowded. I am sure the builder will put in large drains before he is finished at least he should. I dn't know what the homes cost I am sure they don't cost over 100,000 like some sub divisions

They are 139 and 149.. There will be drains of course.. It's not completed yet obviously & they have done everything by code, they have to. And all the houses are inspected including elec and wiring.. They have to be. Nothing is built perfect but they do fix everything that has gone wrong. it is crowded yes, I agree.. Downfall to that place! We plan on finishing the house ourselves (basement) then renting it out in about 5-7 yrs once we buy a better house. They are brand new & very nice.. For some, it's the best thing we can do right now.. We are both in college, won't get financed bc of moving so much with military & jobs bc of school. Even though we make more than most in this town we can't get financed.. It's frustrating!! We want a house & stop renting so they were able to help us.. It's soooo much better than where we are now or in some Clayton home trailer like most waste their money on! For some, it's perfect.

I think the houses look nice it says owner financing. At least they are new like you said best you can do right now. I didn't think they were that high "OUCH" If they finance it better than paying 5 or 6 hundred a month for rent at least they have something they can call their own.

They do a rent to own process which is pretty awesome! Or you can buy it outright.. I have several complaints, but overall I can't complain.. We will move on in 5-7 yrs and do better, for now it'll be great!
