Review: Caney Creek Cowboy Church

How convenient for the pastor to leave the only comment!! As a former member, I have many thoughts about this church. Seems you all have forsaken Evangelism for rodeo!! No organization in their right mind would charge the kind of fees that you all are charging for the upcoming series (for me to do my event for the whole series would cost a whopping $600!). I would be willing to bet, and I am sure you would not confirm this, that this will be yet another money-making venture for this church.

I am also not sure it is appropriate for you to drive your son to THSRA shows in the truck and trailer marked all over with the church name. Would be willing to bet the church is paying for that rig and the fuel that is in it - so you can take it to rodeos?? They must be "sponsoring" your son! I hope the Lord blesses CCCC, but I have watched it over the years become so much less an evangelistic church and so much more a place for the same old folks to show off that I feel He has turned His back on it because the church has forgotten its only mission - to win souls to Christ and to discipline new Christians.

The event you must have wanted to compete in you must not have had faith that you could win! The bible says whoa ye of little faith and if you were worried about the money I am sure that if you had ask the Pastor he was had surely let you compete for free because I have never known this church to be about the money! So therefore you must be jealous and we will be praying for you!
You should never slander anything God has going on at this church or any church. Oh and by the way, our pastor works for a living and can afford to take his son and rodeo anywhere, anytime, any place because he serves an awesome God like I do and God provides all our needs.

It's amazing how people can have comments on things or information they do NOT have all the information. Caney Creek Cowboy Church is an awesome church with an AWESOME family! We ARE out to win souls for Christ and not there just to make money! I am sorry that MRM-United States has bad feelings toward the church. He/she stated "He has turned His back on it because the church has forgotten its only mission - to win souls to Christ and to discipline new Christians." We have NOT and will NEVER forget that is our main goal! Our one and only goal is ALWAYS to lead more to Christ. We have a wonderful church and I truely beleive that our growth in our membership proves that. We have one and ONLY ONE to answer to...that is Jesus Christ our Savior. Come judgement day we answer to everything! We are here on this earth to be leaders and not be the reason for one to stumble and harsh comments on the world wide web, well...is wrong.I pray that God softens your heart and I invite you to attend a service with a powerful message. Then you can see that we here at Caney Creek Cowboy Church are out winning soals to Christ!

Dear MRM,
Please refer to which event would put you in a financial bind? We will be praying for your financial strains that do not allow you to participate in our events. I just don't understand how many can spend amounts of wordly possessions of their wants and then question what a church does with their finances. Our Pastor,(which by the way, I support 100%)makes a salary to provide for what ever he see's fit to spend it on. Placing judgement on others is not the way to solve your opinions of a fellow brother, please refer to John 7:24 "Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment." If you could please join us on Sunday along with the 220 that do attend, and listen to a strong message and let God speak to your heart, rather than blogging you would see that the issues you have are of the world and not GOD. I have personally taken the Pastor's son to the THSRA, several times while he taught the word and performed 4 babtisms. I'm sorry that you may have false information, and you may clarify your concerns with me at any time. May your eyes stay upon the Lord our God.

To MRM I have been a member Caney Creek Cowboy Church for better than three years and during that we have had Two (2) pastors. The first one left to form a new Cowboy Church in Huntsville,Tx. He left this Church in dire Straits and it was about to close its doors. Along came Pastor Mark Grimes, In a little over 16 months we went from 60 members to over 230 members, we have baptised over 180 in that time. At no time has Pastor Mark done anything but follow the Lords will. He is on fire for the LORD.
As for him taking HIS truck to the THSRA rodeo's with Caney Creek Cowboy Church decals all over it, what better way to prmote the Church and where we are located so other followers can come and worship with us. As for the rodeo events that we put on, What better way to bring the youth of this area to the LORD than with something they can relate to.This church under Pastor Mark has never been about the MONEY, It has and will always be about Saving SOULS for CHRIST.

I have been to many differant churches and cowboy church is the most unique and awesome church in Texas... I was never saved, but since I have been to Caney Creek cowboy church I can actually feel the lord touching my heart and my sons... Mark is a wonderful pastor... If you have something bad to say about the house of the lord you surely forgot what your mom and grandma taught you...God dont like ugly....

First of all MRM you should not worry about what the preacher does to HIS own truck, When we came down here we traded a classic car for it and pays for it out of his own $$$$$ which is none of your business waht he does with HIS money that he gets paid. Second he paid out of his own pocket for the stickers to advertise ablout the church so we can get more people to come. Last don't say anything about him if YOU aren't even a member at the church anymore. When we go to THSRA since you are so worried about that he goes there and still gets people to come worship GOD!!!!!!!!!!

this is my brothers church and althought i have not visted as of yet.he has left waco to come to bring the message of god to whom ever will listen and for most here in waco the way to a congration is through what they enjoy or live doing and rodeo is a break from every day lifes and head ach its a time to gather with friends and mebers to hear gods word with the excitiment that god has aloud him to do so anyone not believing in his message should go to the lord in prayer and not judge how god is brought in to christans lives

To MRM, may you not judge someone for that someone is serving the word of god thru his minstry he has made me a better person. I used to judge people by what they did or said. I don't judge people anymore, I've learned thru christ that I can be a better person. Just because one advertise's their church on their truck, just as Pastor Mark does and takes his children to rodeo's. Is great to me, that his doing something for his children and for you to say that the truck he drives or the money that he pays for his children to ride in a rodeo. Sure is not our business, just like if you were being judged about how you spendt your money. Money and fame isn't anything in life. We live for our creator, God created us. So you need to live and read your bible. Open it up to Matthew 5:43-44, You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. That's what we learned today in church. So you need to quite judging people, and be faitful to yourself and bring GOD back into your life. I will pray for you tonight and hope and to God that you change your ways and change your tone of voice about a real christian man that is serving the community in a way that he is winning souls for christ. I believe in my pastor, and love him and his family and my extended family at this church. Do not judge upon him as he is serving god and bringing joy to the lives of the people that attend this church. I beleive in my heart that you will change your ways and not judge towards someone that is serving God. It would seem to me that the devil is taking over inside of you. Please find a church, that is willing and able to take you into their lives. I know that if you would come and see how the church works and what Pastor Mark is doing for his fellow members and for all the children in the surrounding community you would probably think twice about judging someone again. I look forward to each and every wednesday & sunday services. I look forward to all the rodeo events that the church is offering for the community. I know that you were a member, come back and enjoy the life that I'm enjoying thru Pastor Mark's messages that he preaches it and every week. He provides a very powerful messages each time he is doing his job. And again I was once a judgemental person, but I gave up that life, because that life was bringing me further and further to the devil. So again I will pray upon your soul tonight and hope that you will change your ways to the lord jesus christ and bring you and your family back to Caney Creek Cowboy Church or to a church of your chose.
