I remember when Connersville was bigger than it is now and the city had pride now we all fight and bicker and can't and probably will never get along. Also walking downtown when the Business was down town and not in Mini malls which really stole downtown away.

Back in 1958, I remember walking downtown with my parents at Christmas time. You couldn't hardly walk on the side walks, because they were so crowded. Those were the days, about 11,000 factory jobs in Connersville. I remember at election time, cars would have loud speakers on them, hawking a certain candidate. We would go in the two headquarters and get metal campaign badges. Gas was cheap!!! Too bad all of it is gone!!

Yep, I remember when you could walk around the block and not have to know more than two languages to say hello. I remember when you could go to sleep at night with your doors open. I remember General Eisenhower. Say, what ever happened to Eisenhower? Don't hear much from him anymore.
