I am 63 and retired I enjoy going to yard sales. But now that Lienards gestopo police are going to stop them, guess i will just have to spend my money in another town.Boot drives should be stopped also, cause begging isn't nice.

That Urban guy is the best MAYOR since Ole John Conner settled this town.

I want to have a yard sale to get rid of some STUFF but afraid I would be raided by the police. I have some grass clippings that would be good for mulch but afraid they would call those darn sniffing dogs in, OK?
Well you could recycle it by buying some cigarette papers putting your dried out grass clippings in them then sellem' by the pack.

I have a relative that loves to garage sale and lives out of town. Every summer she brings her friends on Fri and Sat and they cruse the sales. They spend lots of money while in town and they love go to Kunkles, they buy gas locally, etc.

I agree the peeps that have sales and leave their crap in the yard for weeks to come looks terrible, but geeze seems garage sales is the only business in town that thrives. Again, deal with the problem peeps, make them clean up their mess or fine them, and leave everyone else alone. I agree when government gets involved it's a no win situation.

permanent yard sales re the target i believe.
peeps need to get some kinda life rather than sitting around weeka fter week with merchandise in there yards and on there porches.
example; there is a house in edge wood, that for a good 2 months has had an on going inside sale in there house.
now i know id love to have peeps traipsing thru my house constantly for months not!

I am 84 years old and have lots of this stuff to get rid of. I could call an auctioneer but yard sales seem better. I know yards sales are by far the biggest problem with Connersville. No one is going to come to a town and hire lots of people if you have yards sales. One of the things big corporate CEO"s look at is whether or not a town has yard sales. Am I right?

Sanford, you are right, then they look at how many idiots post on topix. They're looking for communities with people that have good key board skills and the brains that are using them. Bet we are doing real good, you think?
