Dan Lutz

I hear Dan Lutz is in bad shape and they have given him about a month to live. Dan, we love you and you will be missed but always in our hearts my friend. With love buddy and a heavy heart.

I'm sorry to hear that. His brother Tommy said he has liver and spleen cancer.

I went to school with Dan and I'm very sorry to hear of his plight. My prayers are with him and his family.

I remember a Spartan football game in 1982. Lutzy was the head hunter on the punt team. He was flagged for two unnecessary roughness calls after blasting the opposing team's return man before the he could field the ball. Then on the third punt Dan sprinted up to the returner and stopped short of blasting him again. The guy was so sure he was going to get hit that he took his eyes off the ball and bounced off his chest. Dan scooped up the ball and ran it in for a touchdown. It was an awesome sight.

I haven't talked to Dan since High School and when I hear of things like this it makes me think I should try to contact some old friends.

All I can say is Dan is getting what he deserves!Yes, Karma is a bitch! Dan has alot of skeletons in his closet! People need to learn how the real DAN LUTZ is! He is a theif and takes people for granted and don't care who he hurts.

Thank you, Teammate, for sharing this great memory of Dan. I choose to remember him the way he was back then and hope others will do the same. I pray everyone has compassion towards Dan during this difficult time. Let's say a prayer for Dan's brothers as they prepare to say farewell to their little bro. Most of all I pray Dan makes peace with the Lord and others and that when the end comes he reunites with Ann & Larry, his loving parents.

he is a thief you should grow the fuck up really ur a heartless bitch or bastard who knows but u need to stop and think of ur sins.... i'm sure u have many just because some people make mistakes they or for all that nobody deserves death. and he is doing very bad. so what people need is to pray for him and family

Lutz passed away today. I knew Dan through him coming to hang out at IU with the rest of the Connersville crew. Went to many Indy 500 races with him. Dan helped me out in many ways and I know he had my back. Rest in peace, Lutzy.
