They are probably just now getting around to investigating the theft of millions involving that building. Not just the tons of cash wasted by the city chasing the Carbon fiasco, but the millions robbed from the employees and retirees by Ford. You know that the union there was never UAW. So, those folks did not enjoy the high wages, benefits and protection of their health and retirement benefits as the UAW workers did. And I can hear it now all the FORD/VISTEON sour grapes bashers chiming in but I don't care. They are idiots who never had the drive to try to get a decent paying job and now are just sad little haters. F'em.
Anyway, the big UAW plants up north were running in the red all the while Ford Connersville consistently made a profit. Now, the UAW plants had profit sharing but not here. So our folks were making the profit and they were sharing it. Then when the end times came and Darth Hinkle made the statement that "I have never shut down a plant and have no intention to." he was lying. Hoping the work force would not abandon the plant. And all the sad little company lackeys chiming in with their support of Visteon......tisk tisk tisk. Sad little lackeys. So the plant closes and all the blame on those greedy union workers who never took a strike vote since the 60's. The workers who didn't get their health benefits guaranteed. The workers who were lied to, deceived and shafted by a company that now files as bankrupt and cancels retirees health benefits then goes after the retirement money that was guaranteed by contract. Theft in my book. Grand larceny. I hope those cops find the real criminals who stalked that building. But maybe they should be looking a bit further north.
You write the truth IH. People can say what they will because that is their right but when the company announced to all the employees the plant was closing they had security all over the place because they thought people were going to riot or something. Instead, they went back to their jobs and made rate. They saw the handwriting on the wall years before the announcement was made. It was Hinkle who did away with the QA program up there and was brought here solely to shut that plant down. People can judge this post however they wish but only the people who worked there for 20-30 years know the truth, not people opposed to unions. If they were to do their research of history they would see how many men and women in this country who died in their attempt to form a union for better wages and working conditions. Didn't work there but experienced the depression and illness of some family members from that toxic dump.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
