Amvets

From what has been told to some that the amvets are making their pool room a smoking room and the rest of the club will be non-smoking..

Yes the amvets pool room is smoking please read all of the post under this topic before you say something. But if you idiots would you know if u paid attention as much as you like people to think Indiana on July 1st goes to a non smoking state. DUMBASS'. If u have a problem with the Amvets then don't show ur ass' at the bar(: I have nothing more to say but a thank you to my grandfather for fighting for me to have rights who risked his life for me && our family! <3 && to every other Vet(: && US American solider THANK YOU for having the balls these other men/boys don't have !!!(:

The Amvets are getting back on their feet. I rejoined since state is there and has gotten rid of all the trash.They have bands some nights and on Thursday they have karaoke by Bestway karaoke.They also serve food on a Thursday night right now mostly pizzas and such but it is a start .The talk is of expanding the menu.Last Thursday had steak dinners which were excellant.If you have not been in there for awhile come back and give them another chance a big change now..As far as the smoking..yes they were told they could use the pool room as a smoking room so it shoud keep everyone happy.We do have families come in for karaoke and food and a good time is had by all.Now the VETS..all I am gonna say about that is they ROCK.if not for them we may not be here..So please respect them they deserve it

We've stopped in a few times since the change and have felt welcomed by members each time. The people who REALLY care about this organization are working very hard to turn around the bad rap a
few # of people gave Amvets.
Hang in there and keep on doing what you're doing loyal members. It takes a while for people to see positive changes and realize those changes are in the best interest of the club. Had personal experience with this mentality many years ago when I bought a business in this town which had a bad name. Took 2 yrs and close to 10,000 in advertising dollars to get the point across that the old way of doing business was out and there were new people runnning the show.

Best of luck to the Amvets and please know that we will be spending our discretionary dollars there in the future.

To the writer spouting off about our vets and other issues he/she might have. Don't like this country? Leave it and find one you do like. Worried about your precious right to drink on Sunday? Stock up on Sat. Set your a** down in a recliner and drink to your hearts content. No club in this town or any other would want you for a member. Before you blast me with some "witty"...NOT comeback...I don't drink and enjoy myself very much sipping a coke or water at any establishment we go to.

veteran clubs nation wide always seem to get dominated by drinking instead of original mission.in the hay day it was impossible to screw one up.now days[since 2008]people have much less to spend.most realize they should have slowed down earlier.vote for anew leader every two years,watch for guys who want to stay and not give others a chance.they are usually having affairs with employes and helping themselves to whatever.

seems like some people have nothing better to do then bash others.. But in this case your trying to DISTROY something are vets have spent years to build...the amvets is a veterens club..just because you have a problum with one person in the club dose that give you the right to bad mouth the amvets? no it dose not and as for the person your bashing unless you have a personal reason to bash him i suggest you back off he and 2 other men came here to get the club back on its feet and i might add doing a great job off it so THANK YOU Mike John and Tony the amvets thanks you also and as for the married man your talking about are you trying to distroy his marrage or are you pissed cause you cant get his attection for god sacks hes married shame on u...THANK YOU TO ALL THE VETS WHO HAVE SERVED AND BUILT THESE CLUBS THAT WE THE PUBLIC HAVE TO HONNER TO GO INTO and to the one who said fuck you to the vets u must not have any balls since you have never served...

First we had people complaining about the business now we have others who want to stick there nose into other peoples lives if your on her to bad mouth any who has devoted there time to getting a great club like the amvets on there feet maybe you should pick another hobby and find some where instead of behind the computer screen to attend to. Don't worry about any body else's marriage if he ain't talking to you then there shouldn't be a problem.... Oooo unless you want the attention??? Pick another hobby people stop giving connersville the reputation it has ...

Well. If any one really wants the truth go in a the club and set look and listen. You would be amazed at what you see an hear!!!!!

I am a member of the post 11. I have worked my butt off for the club. To make it a place where people want to socialize, relax and have a good time. The committee appointed to oversea the club is doing a great job. As for the personal lives of its members. People will always have bad comments about men and women working together it's in our nature. Let's just stop the gossip and drama and enjoy the fact that we are open and ready for the members to enjoy themselves.

Just wanted people to know. Amvets club is moving along great. Getting great comments from members daily. There are two sisters working real hard to keep moral up and the members enjoying themselves. Stop in an enjoy music food an great company........
