Help Me Help Me Help Me I have been reading all these words on my screen for weeks now. I got a question???? Why are we fighting this war in Iraq? Is it to create Democracy for those people and make them FREE? If that is why, then why are we letting the wealthy investors including your retirement funds form companies in Third World countries that employ child labor, producing things that we buy. i just don't get it. Help Me Help Me Help Me all knowing ones.

Stop feeding these countries and starve them into submission . Iraq is an afterthought, it's just a stepping stone to Iran. I'll bet you we will be bombing Tehran very soon. The leader of Iran is more of a threat than Osama and his thugs. The leader of Iran is preparing a holly war against us with nukes. September 11th will be dwarfed when Iran wipes Israel off the map and maybe Great Brittain if they develop long range missiles. Israel knows who the threat is. The US knows who is providing the insurgents with their weapons in Iraq-Iran is. Iraq is a strategic move against our real enemy Iran. You cannot deter suicidal religious finatics. I hope I'm wrong - I hate war but I do believe we cannot avoid it. Thats why we are in Iraq not for oil, not terrorists, not insurgents. it's all about Iran and they're nuclear program. They will use it against us without a thought. It will get them into heaven if they destroy us.

It's not like Ahmedinejad will take that laying down though. There is NO telling what he'll do. Too bad our country doesn't condone assassinations. It would sure save many lives if someone would just take Ahmedinejad out. DISCLAIMER TO CYBER POLICE: I'm just a regular person expressing an opinion. It's not like I'm calling for an assassination!

Even if you rid Iran of it's current leader the next leader will be exactly the same. They will always have another finatic to step in. It's like saying they will run out of suicide bombers. They won't ! they believe that they were put on this earth to kill all infidels --us. We detered Russia and China during the cold war. You can't deter these guys.

Some of us missed Vietnam the first time. I flew cross-country this weekend and on one of the flights (from Minneapolis to Chicago) someone started talking about their son in the service. I could not believe how many people on the plane said "oh, my son too, he's on his 2nd tour, but at least he hasn't been shot"
"At least he hasn't been shot..." some consolation for a mother on Mother's day.

Iraq will never change; they are a fighting country, always have been and always will be; you might as well try to change the the spots on a leopard; it's just not going to happen.

The people who want war is the ones who don't fight and die in it. You guys go get them. Hey why don't we just send the president and the congress over there and fight theirs and the winner take all. Lets have a gladiator type event.

No one wants war, but I don't think we should stick our heads in the sand like ostriches and pray no one blows our a$$es off. We must keep scanning the horizon for danger! We have to see it coming. It's kinda like driving down the road and constantly scanning the landscape for deer running at you or standing near the road. Sometimes you get to drive on by, sometimes you have to honk the horn and swerve, and sometimes no matter what you do, the deer gets hit.

I was being sarcastic! I was just saying that we don't go around just thinking about fighting someone. Yes, we do have to be on our guard and keep our A$$e$ alert for bomb threats and whatnots. But who actually sits around and WANTS a war?! I don't want to lose my brother, friends, family just because today is the day to go flip a coin and fight with so in so. Get my point? I too remember 9-11-2000. It was painful for us all. But, Is that why we are still there? After almost 8 years... PEOPLE wrote: <quoted text> Limbs even? But thank God for our volunteer military and their willingness to serve and protect. Hey, I want our troops to come home, but things have to be "right" in Iraq before we leave. If we leave too abruptly Iraq will fall into chaos and I bet Iran will soon be running the show. "Just leave" is not the answer. I believe McCain will lay down the law to Iraq and tell them to stand up for themselves. It has gone on too long without the Iraqi government be held to account. I do think McCain will be better in that regard. There's enough other stuff about him that ticks me off though, but that's for another post.

If anyone thinks there will not be chaos when we leave they are crazy. They don't have the mentality to be civilized. Off with your head!

In WWI we lost approx. 112,000 Americans half to disease. WWII 406,000 Americans lost their lives, and there are 58,196 names on the Vietnam wall. I hate war. I don't want war. I'm 44 with bad knees and I would go in a NY second if they needed me. There are people who want to see us all dead (IRAN). It sounds like we've lost our fighting spirit over 4000+ deaths in Iraq. I grieve for their familys, they are all heroes. I would like to live in a peaceful world but militant finatic moslems have ruined that idea. More familys will lose sons and daughters it's a gutwrenching shame. Iran is working on bombs that can wipe out entire citys not just 2 American skyscrapers.
