Why does it say "Swimmer RESCUED After Jumping Off Lighthouse"?? The kid died in the water -- I don't call that a "rescue".

It is every year some young kids get hurt out there, we need to make it safer that they can't jump off the lighthouse anymore. It is so sad I have a 18 year old and my heart goes out to the family and I'm so sorry. I feel very sad. We need to post signs with pictures of all the people who got hurt out there by the beach and the breakwall. maybe have warnings at the docks for boaters and at the stores by the docks. Don't let this happened again. Don't just watch them jump, stop them before it is to late again.

The body was recovered thats all. Rescue was a bad choice of words. At least the kid was found the same day. Takes awhile for a body to bloat up and come up to the surface otherwise.

Yeah you're right, we should wall up every body of water in the world to prevent people from swimming.

Not to be mean because a person DID die here and all but you can't baby proof everything in the world. I mean at a certain age I think people should be able to use a brain and reason things through. Am I off base here? Common sense, what age does that kick in?

RIP kiddo, you are in a better place now than this cesspool of a planet

My thoughts, prayers, and good wishs go to you and your family.

Children, lighthouses are not meant to be used as diving boards. They are beacons of safety. Use them as such.

It's hard to believe out of four people none of them had sense enough to know this was a stupid thing to do.

Perhaps you could contact the idiobama administration. This is exactly the kind of problem that could be solved with stimulus money. They could pay you to stand by the lighthouse and issue warnings to all who enter. You could keep a little binder with the photos, and show them for effect. No reason at all to think that parents should instill some sense into their children, this is clearly the fault of the idiots who built a lighthouse so close to the water.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Cancer

The question of who and what you should believe is never far away today. Someone could easily mislead you, although it's a moot point whether they do this intentionally or not. Or there could be a communication glitch that means no one knows what's going on. Be very careful when handling money because there could be lots of silly mistakes, and if you're really unlucky there might also be some double-dealing too.
