When i lived in Evergreen back in the 70's and 80's the beetle was running rampant throughout the area killing the spruce trees. I did not know they were still a problem today. I sure miss ole Evergreen. I lived in Hiwan with my folks graduated in 82 from Evergreen High. I used to ice skate on Evergreen Lake in the winter and fish it in the summer. I used to ride my bike to echo lake from my house. Oh what memories. Awsome place.

We lived in the Conifer area during the 70's and the front range for another 20 years. Moved away a few years ago and really miss CO. Soooo we are working our way back to the Conifer/Evergreen area. We have recently seen the major damage the Bark Beetle has done in the mtns west of the Divide. Thousand of acres of lodgepole pines destroyed.

This is an anything-can-happen kind of day, so be on your toes. Your closest relationships may also be strained under this influence, so remember not to take a bad day out on the ones you love. You can be a hero today if you apply your Scorpio strength and stamina.
