I am wondering why fictitious names were not used for the victim's Aaron and Susan Barton in this article and in any reports taken by the police and given to this criminal Christopher Fuehring and his attorney? This is a lot of jeopardizing information for this mean, crazy person to have! Did you give this butcher the names of all my Grandchildren so Christopher Fuehring could once again attempt to kill them too? This is a toxic sick system that lets a criminal like Christopher have names of family members so Christopher Fuehring can sleuth out the victim's on the Internet and come after them again, are you prepared to be accountable for this mistake?

They just moved into that farm house before they were attacked and their kids saw all of this happen and there has not been any sex charges listed in CASENET for entering their home nude!!! Christopher didn't enter his neighbors home asking to borrow a knife sharpener so he wasn't there for a favor, he was there to murder, now seven days have passed with no attempted murder charges brought against him, what is the incompetent reason for this?

My son had to struggle for his life that night and Aaron got stabbed in a dark room of his home,(in front of his kids) by a complete stranger so your prosecutor has completely misconstrued the motive of this stranger known as Christoper Lee Fuehring if he seriously don't think Christopher entered a house,(a house that Christopher knew didn't belong to him) a house that Christopher entered naked and armed to do some raping with intent to seize by killing??

Christopher slithered through the adjacent corn fields with intent to discretely ambush this family. The children have been up here in St. Joseph where they have taken up excessive eating and stuttering, for a week now. The kids are homesick for their parents but we are afraid to take them back to the crime scene for fear someone will post bail for this idiot! Christopher Fuehring has stolen the stability and peace these children had prior to his attack.

Missouri should require of land lords to install ADT.

My son nearly lost his life on that bed and has flashbacks of Christopher hanging over him with a deer skinning knife so now Christopher lays on a bed at the jail while his victims' have no where to lay down and sleep. I find this situation repulsive in that you gave Christopher his victims names for a repeat offense???

Susan and Aaron could use some donations such as bedding because their mattress, sheets and bedspread was ruined due to massive blood loss caused by Christopher Lee Fuehring.

It does not make any sense for those courts to take children away from their perfectly good parents. I do not understand it and I haven't read it all. But it is wrong

Last I checked, Missouri was part of the United States. As such, citizens of this country assume their local, state and federal governments protect the innocent.

Is there some "frontier law" in your state which pretty much leaves the residents to behave as if they are vigilantes?

This is an issue that has now gone way beyond your state. It has been made known across this country and outside it.

Fran as I understand it this child Christopher had good adoptive parent's and his birth parents (rumor) was on drugs. That is the rumor I have heard, may or may not be true but my point is the adoption system is not working. It is all over the web, cases of foster children, adopted children suffering with their own anger. Who can we blame this on when Christopher was not raised in a drug nor violence environment. I have seen the home Christopher was raised in and it looked like his adoptive parent's tried their best for him. The adoption system is not working it is too much loss, too much grief for a child to deal with. When I first heard the rumor that Christopher was adopted this was my first thought, that everything is connected,(analogy a wind chime) & when we disturb that balance we expect it to adjust however this crime is sometimes the adjustments we don't expect. Consider how Christopher's actions have disturbed the balance of the windchime in Aaron's family. Will those children ever get over their fear?

What concerns me the most in all this is that the criminal has full access to the names of the family he attacked that night!
The law should have protected those names, at least the name of the youngest! I believe it is illegal to release names of those still in danger from an attacker, and obviously a lousy job has been done thus far in prosecuting Mr. Fuehring, even though he entered a home NUDE, ARMED, and WITH INTENT TO CAUSE HARM OR DEATH OR SEXUAL ACTS!
Stop protecting the crminal and protect the family!

I have taken several law classes and read alot about our judicial system. We complain and seem shocked by other countries lack of a decent judicial system yet we fail to look at the inadequacy of our own. Here we are, supposed to be the leading country in the world. People from all over the world desire to live here in America. How can a country that is supposed to be so advanced have such an inadequate judicial and medical coverage system?
We need decent leadership in this country. Leadership that will finally do something to make America the country that she can be. Then cases like this will be something of the past. Everything is cut and dried in this case. What is the malfuncion here. This man was nude in Aarons home holding a knife, clearly unbalanced and dangerous intending great harm.
A good judicial system would see this case for what it is and act accordingly. I am sorry the Bartons have to go through this. It is uncalled for. Where is the justice for the innocent?

I am so glad to hear that no one in your family lost their life! It is such a sad state of affairs to have another disappointment handed down by the "law." At one time, this country respected it's citizens. Now, this country is a free-for-all of lunitics.
You are in my prayers.

I am curious as to the reason that actual names and locations were given in this article. Shouldn't names be withheld to protect the innocent?

Child Protective Services seem to be in the news a lot lately for their unwavering let the courts figure it out positions. Common sense blown out the windows. I read about cases every day where children are taken away from parents just because of a whim, or a notion and with out any proof of any thing. I supposed in the non subjective mind, this behavior is all right. But in actuality that child's life is scared forever. What a way to grow up. Being snatched away from folks who love you and whom you have loved, while courageously learning it's ok to trust. Paranoid is born. Is this the beginning of a possible criminal, or a suicidal mind? Social injustice!

This case is a slam dunk. All the evidence is relevant and true. The jury should see it clearly without any confusion.

We have a fantastic governor in Missouri and it is good people like him that make me proud to announce I am from Missouri.
Thank You Governor Blunt for protecting us.
Castle Doctrine. Governor Blunt is committed to strengthening Missourians' Second Amendment freedoms. He signed the Castle Doctrine bill to reinforce Missourians' legal right to use force while defending themselves and their families from attack in their own homes. "Americans maintain a deep reverence for their Second Amendment freedoms. The law I signed reinforces those freedoms and ensures law-abiding Missourians will not be punished when they use force to defend themselves and their families from attacks in their own home or vehicle," Governor Blunt said.

I think that this situation requires a 357 hollow point round directly between the eyes. No Costly trial, no Court Cost, No Stupid Lawyer getting fat, and the next one who tries such a thing will have something to think about. Post a sign do not worry about my little dog, be ware of owner that the little dog wakes ......kids and family are supposed to be safe, All The time. If you break into my house at night time I hope 357 is your favorite flavor because you are going to eat one.

I know this Fuehring family well. All but two are good people and are hard working, honest, considerate and lawful. Aarons Mom is correct. The two not included on the above list are Chris and his brother who are both adopted. The biological parents of these two obviously had some very serious phycological or drug related issues. Their parents have always had problems with them and did their best with the two. However they never have shown any violent tendancies toward anyone or anything. Chris was a very depressed person that just didn't fit in with scociety. No one that knew Chris ever suspected him to do anything this horrible. We just thought he was a weird kid that was "a little slow upstairs".

I too believe that the adoption system has gone wrong somewhere along the line. No one knows what made Chris the way he is but everyone that knows the situation knows that it was not his parents or his upbringing. I think that when people with some kind of phycological problems have kids they shouldn't be allowed to enter the adoption process without the adoptive parents being made aware of their parents behavioral problems.

My heart goes out to the Barton's and their extended family. I also know that Chris's parents are devastated and heartbroken about what their son did to the Barton's. And that the Barton's are in their prayers.

And I too hope that chris pays dearly for his horrible and sickening crimes.
