are the probtion officers doing their jobs. are they over worked? Lisa grady pled guily to 5 of 29 felony charges and she has not been checked on in 5 months. no wonder we have repeat offenders.

I've seen this in Guilford county. A person on probation racks up 40 felonies steals hundreds of thousands of dollars from businesses and people and never has to answer to anyone. To the probation officer's defense, nothing has happened in the eye of the law until they are convicted. It sucks; you can be on probation and commit as many crimes as you want without worry as long as you are constantly given continuances. And there is no limit to the number of continuances the state will give you. Ultimately, the status of being on probation is to make the people who are never effected by crime think that the criminals allowed to walk amongst us are being watched....they are not. Probation in NC is the biggest tax payer fraud ever....

Probation officers simply have ZERO power. It's an empty gesture by the state.

Oh, if your game is stealing money or conning people. You can go for yeeeeeeears without even being bothered by the justice system. Just pay your lawyer to get you continuances. Any excuse appears to be fine in some counties and once you rack up a bunch of charges you can play the conflicted court date game and shift things around so they constantly hinder each other and you can buy yourself several more years.

Oh money (even stolen money), is there anything you can't do?

The cash flow is all that matters.

the justice system is too concerned with profit to be burdened with criminals whom are active contributors.

Besides the real criminals run the system. The judges, lawyers ,cops are the pimps. The drug dealers, thieves, you and me are the prostitutes giving them their fair share of what we have. Legally gained or not.
yo people leave them

Daily Horoscope for March 21

Aries

There'll be plenty of gossip going around today; keep in mind much of it is likely to be greatly exaggerated. As the day progresses, brilliant ideas may come to you out of the blue. However, you may have so many thoughts spinning around your head that it is nearly impossible to follow any of them. Keep pen and paper with you so that you can write down anything you may want to explore later.
