I live in the Walnut Creek area and for the first time in a long time, I paid a visit to Home Depot out in Concord. I COULD NOT believe the number of men loitering Home Depot. The morning I went, the number must have reached close to about 100. The ogles, taunts and nasty remarks they directed to myself and worse, my 15-yr old daughter, were shocking and absolutely crude and demeaning.
I’ve gotten used to seeing hundreds of the loiterers span Monument Ave. on my occasional trips to the Concord Costco. At the Home Depot, they tended to congregate at the parking lot entrances and all around the perimeter of the parking lot. It is very perturbing. Obviously, Home Depot cannot force them to leave if they are technically off the building and parking lot. As a woman and American citizen, I do not feel safe amongst or near these large groups of loitering men and it saddens me that my community has become a safe haven for these people. Why must we tolerate it? I left Home Depot upset and spent over $700 at Ace Hardware. Why is the city of Concord not doing anything about this? I already try to avoid the Concord Costco and any other business on Monument Ave. I frequent the San Ramon Costco far more often, despite it adding another 15 min. to get there. Commercially, this loitering is horrible for business. I will not return to the Concord Home Depot until this loitering problem is taken care of. Obviously, we are talking ILLEGAL immigrants here. Can’t a police officer or INS ask these loiterers for citizenship papers and if they cannot produce any, ship them back to their country? Why do we have such a passive stance on illegal immigration? They are committing a crime by entering this great country ILLEGALLY and continue to commit a crime by remaining here ILLEGALLY! Additionally, it is unfair to those businesses that suffer because customers avoid places of business where loiterers tend to congregate. What can we do to change this situation? |
|
You should absolutely report this issue to Home Depot's regional management (you won't get anything at the store mgmt level) and also, feel free to give the INS a call. They might just do something.

Pretty much a mess in Concord these days.
|

The Illegal safe haven of Contra Costa County is Bay Point.. Take a drive and see for yourself. They own the area and the Sheriff can't do a dang thing about it untill the people force local law enforcement to enforce all laws at a state and federal level.
Put the issue up for a vote.. Ask the legal citizens if they think local law enforcement should be required to deal with the illegal immigrant issue!!! |

Report Suspicious Activity:
1-866-DHS-2-ICE 1-866-347-2423 The first post by IcedTea is representative of what I see and experience is Concord. My wife can't walk down the street to the park without having loitering Hispanics who scarcely speak English taunting, whistling things to her --WHILE SHE IS WALKING WITH OUR MONTH OLD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are unlawful trespassers breaking FEDERAL law. I was once an immigrant. I entered the USA legally. My family was documented, our backgrounds checked, health checks carried out, profile acceptable to the needs and socical circumstances of the day. We did not come in by breaking the law and neither did we break the law while here. We have not put you at risk with communicable diseases. Neither did we expect free health care that was not free; tax payers carry the burden. We did not overhwlem the civil planning of schools and public services. Note that census reports are tools to plan for schools. Taxes collected on homes help to pay for upgrades and growth. How can that happen if the population growth is not properly accounted for and multiple births for the purpose of gaining benefits and anchor the illegals is rampant? I am furious that illegals step ahead of my own family and others. In the case of my aunt, she was in application to come here over the course of 14 years! We are furious that illegal aliens are referred to as immigrants when there is scarcely a mention in the press that there are actually IMMIGRANTS; people here and abroad in apllication for residency AND LEGAL US resident non-citizens who abide by the law and who have no right to vote. THEY ARE IMMIGRANTS. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE REFERRED TO AT TEH STATUE OF LIBERTY. ELLIS ISLAND WAS A PORT OF ENTRY WITH DOCUMENTATION PROCESSES AND DEPORTATION PROCEDURES. How dare illegals push US citizens around and call the shots@! Don't forget prop 187. California Citizens voted. The citizens vote was not upheld. Your will pay for us and you will adapt to us , the illegals said. Special interest groups supported by illegals prevented your will from being executed. Bust the businesses who hire illegals. If they don't abode by labour laws for hiring, you can rest assured that they also throw caution to the wind with OSHA regulations that protect the safety and health of the employees who might work more hours that are recorded. What's humane about that? I am an immigrant. My wife is an immigrant. We follow the law and we do NOT support illegal immigration. |

I just returned from Costco and Home Depot in Concord. My wife and I drove down Monument Blvd to get to Costco - we then proceeded over to Home Depot. It is shocking to see the amount of
illegal aliens that are standing in front of the local businesses. They are in front of Dolans Lumber, Costco, Home Depot, 7-11, Wendy's, Rancho Restaurant, Jack in the Box, etc. It simply did not end. What are we as Americans going to do about this situation? Why don't the police, local businesses, and the residence of Concord respond to this crisis? |

One thing we can do to begin reducing the problem is to inform the business owners why you choose to shop elsewhere.
Years ago, I informed the management at 7-11 on Monument Blvd that I was uncomfortable with the loitering men. I suggested that the type of patronage they will have will likely be rougher and more male oriented. In other words, the loitering men might be objectionable to half of their potential clientele: women. I advised Wendy's of the same since my girl friend at the time loved Wendy’s burgers but world only go to that Monument store by drive thru. She was uncomfortable with the "scary" guys over there. Inform the business owners and managers why you feel uncomfortable. Unwelcome whistling, taunts, jeers, stares are obstacles to patronizing those businesses. The chamber of commerce might help. But note-- as the Hispanic businesses grow, so does the chamber of commerce representation by those who unequally favor Hispanic business in order to legitimize their presence and claim political power through it. Food for thought: Solicitation for the intent of prostitution is a crime. Is not solicitation to work unlawfully a crime too? Haven’t we learned that loitering for any reason often leads to criminal activities and problems? Use your dollar vote by electing to shop elsewhere. Be sure to inform management why or your actions will just lead to unexplainable blight. |

Update:
I learned tonight that my neighbor has been solicited by prostitutes in our neighborhood park. He says it happens after 6pm usually. Even I am shocked by that! It made it all clear: My wife has been apporached by persistent men in the same park. Until now, I took it as a rude gesture that someone would whisper out to her, whistle, chirp... whatever.. all to get her attention. Even after she says get lost. It was irritating to know that this occurred to her in broad daylight, while walking woth out infant against her. Apparently they take her two rounds around the park as a a display of goods. Damn. Now I have made the connection to the cause and effect. The cultural aspect of Mexican men whistling (chriping) and gesturing to women has apparently invited working women to the neighborhood who respond to that kind of communication. My neighbor witnessed too, a Ryder truck that was rented by two women that was being used behind our building. It's all worse than I thought. That culture is enabling the culture of street walking in my neighborhood. Latino men who work here illegally and are housed in our area who seem to think unwanted advances in the local park are OK, are making our experience here unsafe. Would you feel safe leaving your child to play in such a park? Would you feel safe to know your wife is approached in a park -- even with your little girl in tow? Until now, I had thought that they were loitering for work. Our parks are not work centers. Neuther are they venues for solicitation of an illegal sexual nature. Jesus! |

To All:
"From an Immgrant" is one in the same person. Whether I log in in the Bay Area or in Houston, I am a resident of Concord. Also, I immigrated here in 1979. My family immgrated LEGALLY. My family over seas has been on fair and legal waiting lists for entry for as long as 14 years. I am an immigrant. I am greatly opposed to the destruction of the country by invasion and the lack of law enforcemnt. I would like to read comments on the foregoing remarks from me. Loitering illegals is a concept so outrageous in countries like Singapore -- whick is surrounded by several countries of low economic power, yet Singapore has its act together. Look it up. We could learn a lot by studying Singapore. They enforce their immigration laws and they dont have this problem of loitering illegals. |

seriously though, these hispanics that are here illegally should be rounded up like cattle and shipped the hell home. they arent supposed to be here so get them out of here. i mean its not like u have to look hard, these slobs are everywhere, with their rude comments and gestures. at one point i called border patrol because i couldnt get out of my car with my baby w/o 7 of em coming out of a studio apt yelling sexual crap at me. it was so discusting...so i called the border patrol and gave a complaint on some recording system and 3 days later the border partrol contacted me i pointed to the apt and they were put in a white van and taken away...(thank god)...

Doesn't matter what nationality they are..
If they are illegally here they should be fined, any property or money illegally obtained while illegally here should be taken, then arrested and deported.. Take away the money, you take away the desire to sneak into the country. Except the people that sneak over to mooch off our medical or educational system. |

To JussAssMe: Fantastic! Good work.
Years ago I called immigration and tried to report the vandalizing illegals living next door. I got a Latino man on the other end of the line who turned the call around on me. He confronted me with questions like "How do you know they are illegal. Did you see their papers?" AND and he refused any action. It's about time we call it like it is and that the law does what YOUR tax dollars support; what is legally right. Good for you. Who knows, perhaps you removed a potential, undocumented rapist from the neighborhood. But I wouldn't know because I wasn't there couldn't “ask them” if they were a potential rapists! The loitering thing is serious. Side note: There was a park in upstate New York that was used by illegal to loiter for work. It came as a shock to the town since it was a small hick town and it was a new event for them as late as 2005. The local constables arrested the men for loitering and remarked publicly that parks are not work centers. Ready for the shock? Some private legal group "Puerto Rican American" Legal Defense or something like that -- fought in THEIR DEFENCE as a "free speech matter." Wait! Our rights being argued in favor of law breakers? Last I checked, federal law breakers who would otherwise be jailed aren’t entitled to complete civil rights! The concept of jailing a criminal is an example of what I mean. We remove certain rights from those who break the law. Are these crazy groups saying that the right to assemble when you have no right to be here is a right? What?! How about YOUR right to a safe trip to the park? Who feels comfortable having unemployed, UNDOCUMENTED men loitering in a park where your child is mean to play? Considering that the legal age of consent for sex in Mexico is lower than here 12, 14 and 16 depending upon location and circumstance. Their culture says its okay to pick up on your child. Being that the men are not documented, if a crime took place, how would you catch them? No ID, No fingerprints on file... What's the offender’s true name? |

I just wrote about this in my last entry here... 12 year old girls?
Perfect timing. Just in today on the news: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/545... This news aired on several networks on JANUARY 15. I wrote my previous remarks January 14th. I know I am not off base with this new news. Clearly we have cultural differences that are not always to be celebrated. |

Yesterday I expressed my concerns with the age group of girls that some loitering men try to pick up.
I jsut saw the morning news. TODAY only one day after I wrote my last entry I saw this covered by several networks: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/545... |

Check the news for today. Texas. 12, 14 and 16 year olds being prostitited to illegal aliens in apartments.
Look it up folks: "Teens accused of using girls as young as 12 in prostitution ring " January 15. Houston Chronicle. I saw this on the news this morning and I thought how timely my last remarks were. Feel good about those guys lingering under trees and on curb sides where your daughter walks home from school. I know I don't. |

I agree,as Concord citizens, we need to stand up to the city officials. California officials would be better. Remove that stupid "if you have a kid here, you get benefits" crap ! Take away the "incentive", lower the influx. I am truly scared for our country. They are the fastest growing minority (getting closer to majority). The thing that alarms me is most don't value education and are content working menial jobs,NOT to say that all feel this way,but the vast majority of them. Here's the dilemma, we have an up and coming "possibly" majority of illegal Hispanics in the next generation. Minimal education, minimal skills = POVERTY EXPLOSION I totally get wanting to have a better life, but do it LEGALLY. We need to shut this door of "incentives" to put a cork in the flow of illegal immigration.

As if everything isn't bad enough.. Now the state of California is shelling out millions of dollars to push applications through before the cut off so the "new citizens" can vote for a president that will give illegals .
Thats why you see all the illegals hanging around our parks, schools, and shopping centers.. they know the government wants them there. The best thing we can do as Untied States Citizens is to move out of the states that REFUSE to follow the laws of our country. We need to stop giving the state money to use against us. I love the USA and I love what it stands for. I am ashamed that I live in a state that continues to bring shame to our country. |

Something needs to be done. Unfortunately local law enforcement and ICE could care less. I have about ten families living in a house down the street. They are always out in the yard and street all times of the night even during the week after midnight laughing talking loud and screaming. It's a goddamn shame that we have to put with this. Legally there's nothing you can do about it. They have more rights than citizens. The time has come that citizens need to ban together and fight these vermin and get them out of our neighborhoods.
