Just Kidding, Really

Okay, I can't stand it anymore. I'm back and it's Mrs. Beans fault. She talked to her Aunt Prudence.... who lives in Prudenville, and once I got lectured to, I'm all better.

She tells me that Al Gore is PO'd. He invented the internet, and now I find out his sisters invented the public forum. So now I've got invent my own.

The rules are simple, keep it light, keep it funny, and no PMS <pee/moan syndrome>

Who's first?

Okay, I guess its me. Just got a flyer in the mail regarding the number of bear sightings in our state lately.

they urge all hunters, hikers, and fisherman to take extra precautions while in the out of doors.

First they advise that all outdoorsman to wear little noisy bells attached to their clothing so as to give advanced warning to any and all bears that you are approaching. this will keep you from taking one of these bruins by suprise. Next, they suggest that everyone carry Pepper Spray with him or her in case of an actual bear encounter.

All outdoorsman should also be on the lookout for fresh bear activity or sign such as fresh scat. You should also study so as to know the difference between cub and adult bear scat.

Cub bear scat is smaller and contains lots of berries and dassie fur. Adult bears scat noramlly contains tiny bells and smells like pepper.

We must of been on the same wavelength. I was thinking of starting one of these. I tried to weasel in on one of the other threads but didn't feel too welcome. That's OK, and that's just my opinion.(Geez I hope my opinion doesn't get me into hot water).

Hey, I was gonna point out that the tiny bells? Well they just "announce" dinner to the bears. So maybe....just be watchful.

That's what I thought.

Reminds me of the two guys hiking in bear country, when they come around this corner in the trail. Right in front of them is this huge bear.

The first guy tells his buddy to stand completely still, but the other guy just drops to the ground starts taking off his boots and puts on a pair of tennis shoes. The first guys tells him, you can't outrun that bear.

The buddy just says, "Nope, but I can outrun you"

Yes there have been quite a few bear sightings in Chicago recently
