Hey what is going on with comstock rock festival this year (2008). I am a true rocknroller and I am wondering if there is going to be one this year or not. I will be lost. My husband and I go every tear if our finaces can help it. We have alot of pics from 4 of the concerts but Jackyl is the best!!!This is our vacation away from the kids and we can drink whenever we what with good people around everywhere. I would help with telling everyone about the concerts if need but my husband and I try to keep it to ourself for our away from the family time. It will be sadly missed if it does not show this year. Dissapointed

As a true lover of Comstock i just have to say that if the festivals aren't going to happen this year please let people know, even though I hope that's not the case!!! I have gone to Comstock for years and it has become a routine for my family to pack our bags over the summer, get in the camper, and head down the road to Comstock all the while expecting a great time with awesome music and so much more!!! If the festivals are going to happen please get out the information as soon as possible because each day I check the website and it disappoints me to see no changes in the schedule. PLEASE CONTINUE THE FESTIVALS, MY SUMMER WILL NOT BE COMPLETE WITHOUT THEM!!!

The rock festivals should be where people actually don't have sex with their brothers and sisters. Western Nebraska should have an atomic bomb dropped on it and left for the buffalo to roam.

I would certainly like to see Comstock Rock (and Country) continue. I know of many people that have stuck with this festival through thick and thin. Unfortunately all of us are small change in any financial picture. None of us can give any more that the $600-$800 it costs to attend.

I hope that there are sponsors out there to keep the festivals alive. Thanks to everyone for all the great years if we've seen the last one in 2008.

Sorry, I may have to agree about the pathetic names list. I remember a few years ago (2002?) they made a big deal about Def Leppard showing up. I had to laugh because I was stationed in North Carolina at the time and right before Comstock they played for free (or at least free to the public)at the Grand Opening for a Wal-Mart in Fayetteville, North Carolina.(From what I understand they released a new album to be exclusively sold at Wal-Marts and that perfomance was part of the deal) I'm not saying they weren't big 20 years or so ago, I'm just saying that if your event's headlining act is a band that plays at a Noth Carolina Wal-mart for free, you may want to rethink your marketing strategy.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
