I think the festivals should continue!!! My family has been going to comstock for years and it has become a favorite vacation spot of ours. I get the chance to listen to music i love and meet the band members in person which is a great experience!!! Comstock is the place where my family goes to relax and have fun, and just let loose and bond. I look forward to comstock every year, if they don't allow the festivals to continue I have nothing else to look forward to during the summer, just the usual hanging out and doing nothing!!! I hope that I can get across to people that comstock is a great experience, not a lot of people can say that they have met a famous singer. Sure some people get rowdy but that's expected. Rockin music, awesome food, great gifts, exciting activities, and spectacular people what else could you want on a family vacation!!! COMSTOCK WILL LIVE ON!!!!

HUH? Crystal Gayle....Mac Davis...TG Sheppard..Razzy Bailey.. The names that are on the list are pathetic! Tomlinson was good last year. LBT was excellent! Diamond Rio....saw them about 7 years ago, they are good. But come one. If you want people to come,...you HAVE to have better entertainment that the old-peoples show! Who is Hoss Howard, Cowboy Crush or Sheila Greenland ???? OHG.....This may be the FIRST year that we do NOT go.. Was excited to see some big names as we ALWAYS do...very disappointed. Especially if they jack the ticket prices higher than they were in the past.

I live fairly close to the grounds and hope the shows continue; however, I have serious doubts for this year. Maybe next year. Kim, old folks (and I am one of those creatures)need their music as well. The promotion does need to add a Viagra stand. The show is for the "experience"--forget the names.

Hoss Howard is the next big thing in Country, Kim, why dont you just google him. better yet, go to his myspace.com/hosshoward and listen to his music

You thought the names before were pathetic. Now it is abysmal. I have not run into anyone who is going. Most folks in the area around Broken Bow, Ord, Sargent, Burwell, etc have not even seen or heard a single advertisement on this. Many don't even know that there is a festival supposedly going on. Or maybe there isn't. Who knows. More importantly with the lineup they have. WHO CARES!!! These new owners don't have a clue.

Kim & Horse lover, you two just don't have a clue about "real" music or the artist. You go Louise! You know you two, every "famous" artist as you put it had to start somewhere & you'd be surprised at just what type of small places they did start at; and every one of them had people like you there thinking they were nobody or would be anybody "famous" but they showed them as Hoss Howard and the others will show you. Won't you feel like a big butt when Hoss is the "famous" one & you feel like kicking yourself for not paying attention to not only the talented person he is but the great songs being sung by him & his band. The great "famous" country singer Mr. John Anderson himself thought a great deal of Hoss plus a few more "famous" singers such as Bocephus, does that name happen to ring a bell with you?? Being judgemental before you even know what you're talking about is a sad thing & you're the one that misses out on the show of a lifetime!!!! Hoss & his band put on the greatest show & they are very family oriented. Hoss touches people with his music & makes a lasting impression but it's people like you two who are missing out on what country music is truly about!! You say, WHO CARES, well obviously you don't but a lot of true music fans do and showing that they do is what makes those "famous" artist. Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, George Strait & others were once nobodys too! Thank goodness all their die hard fans who truly cared didn't think like you when they were just starting out!!! Come on Kim & Horse Lover get with the program or just stay the heck home & stop listening to music all together & heaven forbid that you buy a cd from any artist because that would go against you listening to a once unknown person!!

Sorry, I may have to agree about the pathetic names list. I remember a few years ago (2002?) they made a big deal about Def Leppard showing up. I had to laugh because I was stationed in North Carolina at the time and right before Comstock they played for free (or at least free to the public)at the Grand Opening for a Wal-Mart in Fayetteville, North Carolina.(From what I understand they released a new album to be exclusively sold at Wal-Marts and that perfomance was part of the deal) I'm not saying they weren't big 20 years or so ago, I'm just saying that if your event's headlining act is a band that plays at a Noth Carolina Wal-mart for free, you may want to rethink your marketing strategy.
