Viewpoint: Paso should protest water rate increase

They though they had the money to pay for the pipeline and the water from the lake, and all of a sudden they relize how are we going to pay for the treatment plant???????
Upp and if the counsel would have voted for the rate increase the second time in sted of going back to staff for more information this would have been a done deal, TOO BAD

The Paso Robles City Administration consistantly disregards the wishes of the citizens and goes on subsidizing growth. Then they hand the bill to the citizens. First is was the D98 bond that was to be a one time deal to get city services to catch up to growth, that increases property tax. Then the overloaded schools couldn't keep up with maintance because of money. This too increased property tax. Now the big cost. The water needed because of all this growth. They don't want people to think they can do anything, but to pay.

This Council has the reputation of being crooked but try to stay just on the line of being legal. This new policy started (along with subsidizing growth) when Jim App was made City manager. The City gives the manager too much power, and this guy has the reputation of running over anyone in his way.

Hopefully the citizens of Paso Robles can get control of the City back. But even if they do they will be paying for this misadventure for the next 30 years.
