We would like to THANK everyone in of your kind words and deeds in helping our family to heal. As mother it have really been hard for me in dealing with this immoral act of violence in Nathan being such a lovable person to all and to animals. I feel if though his innocent has been robbed of him. Because we have never instilled any violence into him and with him having a lovable HEART towards people and animals. He hugs, kisses and tell us a 100 times a day " I love my mom,I love my day,I love God and I love my dog"and sometimes his generous words and concerns often makes me cries.Fear has stabbed him in the back since he has been in Long Beach having been raised in the rural area of Apple Valley he wants to move back or move to the Beach area of Long Beach where he says the people are nice to me down there, they talk to me and let me touch their dogs so the dogs can lick my hands"So if anyone knows a good place to live by the beach area please share it
with Nathan.

I hope Nathan knows there are a lot of people praying for Joci's safe return and not everyone in Long Beach is a dog-stealing miscreant. Long Beach is a great dog town and it sounds like any pooch that lived with Nathan would be a pretty lucky pup. I truly hope you are reunited soon.

Why did LBPD not take the suspect into custody when he was followed to the house by the father? This is serious felony and the suspect should be removed off the streets. The desciption is fairly good and I am sure once in custody the boy can easily identify the suspect. What are LBPD still invetigating? If I were called to the scene and had a felony suspect in a house. I would have the athority to go in after him and attempt an arrest. This is not a simple petty theft. It was a felony strong arm robbery and assault on a child. Come on LBPD!!! BTW..my heart goes out to Nathan and his family...

Well this is sure newsworthy. Long Beach Animal Control kills thousands of dogs every year and nobody seems to care. I hope you get your little doggie back and if you do, keep it away from the pound or you will never get it back again. Good job PT, the city of LB will continue to fund your paper as long as you write these fluff stories. I would rather have my dog stolen than end up in the Long beach Shelter.

No second graders are not always truthful, however there were several witnesses that gave the same description of the suspect that were not second graders. And if that suspect is spotted and able to be detained then it is the duty of law enforcement to detain the suspect and get a positive id from the victim and any as many witnesses as possible, especially when the crime is a violent felony. LBPD may have a reason why the left this guy out on the streets but it doesn't seem right to me. Being a law enforcement peron myself....

Please don't move your family closer to the beach as we have enough problems of our own without you. There is no parking, the place is lousy with sex offenders and it's expensive. i hear that San Bernardino is nice.

Annette-
They have some nice places in the beach area but as Long Beach grows and upgrades so do the prices of the places to live. Exspecially the places close to the beach. A lot goes on in northtown Long Beach these days. Might not be the best place to raise your kids with the gang activity and such. You might check out Torrence, Redondo,Manhatten Beach, or Palos Verdes they have some nice neighborhoods with reasonably priced homes to rent or buy.
I really hope that the athorities are swift to reunite Josi with Nathan so hes not changed by this.

Black is the new Klan.

Black men kill more black men in a year, than the Klan has in a decade. These black-hating racists must be stopped.

Yes and it is home to an sad individual that goes by the name "Enough of our own". He lives in his mom's house drinking beer all day and won't get a job. He sits on his computer and trolls places like this so he can show his brilliant wit. His lack of tact and compassion are appalling. When he moved in the neighborhood went downhill. But Belmont Shore is a nice place to live, just try to avoid "Enough of our own"

There were witnesses that saw the kid being knocked to the ground. Kind of a hard way to get another dog. Your theory makes no sense.

This happened in Hawthorne a few months ago, where a man snatched a $4,000 yorkshire terrier from a child's arms.
Did your Yorkie cost $4,000?$3,000? What? Yorkies are not cheap, are they? Why did you buy a high-end dog for your son? Because it's the thing to do, isn't it?
Personally, I don't buy this story, or the one from Hawthorne. Your son's Yorkie was probably snatched from a "friend" of the family, to garner sympathy, and to make the news. Then people will feel sorry for your son, and give him a new Yorkie pup, and lo and behold his first Yorkie will show up, and then he'll have two.

Bubbles you have NO ideal what you are talking about. We don't need anyone to feel sorry for us in getting another dog we can do that ourselves it's just the principal of it.Regardless if it was my son or not. Somethings are just best left unspoken it you have NOTHING TO SAY and in this case you didn't. I know GOD will prevail in the end. I don't need anyone to feel sorry for us. This is a child and no matter if he was my child or not it's WRONG. I also can buy my child whatever I choose to buy. And besides that you are missing the whole point it not the VALUE of the dog it's my CHILD LIFE. And it could have been yours or one of your family members. So don't clean my house until you have swept from under your rug. Thanks Mrs. Braggs for your response

Thanks you Kelly M Bray. In theory of making sense to Bubbles and all the other that are NEGATIVE but as I said GOD will prevail and that I KNOW.

Hey, somebody call 911, there's a guy outside my house with a tattoo of a platypus on his neck!

Oh, wait, a platypus is a mammal, not a bird. Never mind...
