Trucking In Relief To Picher Residents

Would like to donate money to those in need, but prefer for it to not go through the Red Cross, wonder if there's a way to do that?

There are about 12-15 homes destroyed or damaged heavily-straight west of Picher,OK that are in N.W. rural Miami. They could use some help also. I know of one instance at the Red Cross in Picher where these residents were turned away because they weren't from Picher. They are all Ottawa County Residents in need just like the rest. Thanks.

Many of these people mentioned in the #2 post- (4)had no insurance,(8-11)were very underinsured. Some did not find out they were underinsured until this happened. The problem is that building costs have skyrocketed. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

In regards to MEE above, what is going to be done to help the ones that are "in the gray area?" of getting assistance? They are just as traumatized as the "actual physical Picher" residents! They have to eat,have clothes, and have other needs as well!
