I have mixed feelings about " Life w/o Parole " or Lethal Injection.
One of the things I think should carry a Death Penalty is killing an Officer of the Courts or a City or County employee in the performance of his or her duties.
I believe that should be carved in granite.
However, some crimes should be punished with " Life w/o Parole ".
For example, crimes against the elderty or those with special needs.

Still no word on why he did it? Not that it would change anything.

This is another reason why Code Enforcement Officers should be armed and trained to carry. This would cause a person to think twice before an act of violence.

The punishment fits the crime but it doesn't take the pain away to lose someone so tragic; the Code Enforcement profession face and endure many dangers.

I work for a very busy city in Southern California. I have great respect for our code enforcement officers and would not do their job without a gun. They put their lives on the line every day and are confronted on a regular basis by folks who think the rules should not apply to them.

Someone asked why the suspect shot the officer? What kind of question is that?!? WHO CARES!!! That guy lost his life doing his job. As for the coward who shot him I say this: Lock that bastard up and throw away the key or stick a needle in his arm.

I regularly tell our code enforcement officers that I appreciate what they do.

Thank you to all code enforcement officers everywhere for the job you do! Keep up the good work!
