I am writing every mayor newspaper in the country hoping you will be able to publish a column to make people aware of the origin of FUR.

I am a member of the Humane Society and of PETA, two of the best organizations working to protect the rights of all animals; and I want to do as much as possible to help.

China is doing something unspeakable. They have Fur Farms where they skinned dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals alive in order to get a "clean cut". PETA has a web site where you can watch the horrific video an undercover was able to film at peta.or/feta/ChineseFurFarms.

We can't change Chinese mentality, but we can stop buying fur or we are as bad as them.

You do not need to see the video if you don't want. It is the most horrible thing everyone has ever seen. Even if you are not an animal lover, you have to admit this atrocity needs to be stopped. It is basic human compassion for another living creature.
I am hoping to get through as many people as possible in order to educate them of the pain inflicted to these animals in order to obtain fur they export to many countries including the US in the form of coats, purses, trimmings, shoes and even toys that look
“real”.

Please, do this for the animals and for the world; we need a more compassionate world or we are lost forever.
People in your state are very likely to buy winter cloths and boots and purses made of fur. I am confident, once they know the origin of these articles, they will think it twice before buying them. There is always the alternative for synthetic fur.
