With that attitude you would most likely end up like the poor sucker that started this whole conversation in the first place. Sucks to be you!

those who disrespect the dead shall perish hell, so it says in the bible

I read the bible front to back, never did I hear such a thing, nor did I learn it in Sunday School lol.

Those of you who reject Christs Salvation given to us by God, the bible clearly says you are destined for hell. But those who accept Gods Free Gift of Salvation shall have eternal life. The Bible does say that. Don't twist the Bible sir, it isn't cool.

Remember those who repent and ask God to forgive their sins and ask Jesus to come into their hearts will have eternal life. God see's all sin, and in his eyes sin is sin, there is no sin greater than another. A man who looks at a woman with lustful eyes has already committed adultry. Adultry is the same as murder, etc. Thos who committ sins and do not repent before dying, unfortunately go to hell. In the book of Romans it says, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal life.

Criminals deserve what they get, if the guy didn't steal a car, didn't shoot the dog, he would be here and not in Hell where he probably went. I doubt he had time to repent before being killed.

Notice he says "the officer jumps out and immediately start pursuing the individual".... from this point where was the police K9? From this witness standpoint only actual police(s) man/men starter chasing the suspect.
There needs to be an investigation.
Not uncommon. The policeman bails first, hits his remote,back door opens,dog runs after officer who can then target the dog on the suspect and not a bystander. He had a gun you idiot, he shot the dog,where was his next round going.
BTW, we trieda police review board here. Every dirtbag and person who doesn't likecopsstarted filing complaints. Copsafraidto do anything. Turnover amazing. Crime went up.Got ridof it.And this isa very liberal town.

Kate, please, try to act like an adult. I love police, I love police work, I love a corruption free functioning justice system working side by side of the communities to help make the communities safe;
HOWEVER, that said, we all know that there is a bunch of mistrust going on between police across this country and the American people, all to often, police are engaging in 'activities' which are usurpation of the communities well being and trust, police are engaging in corruption and plain criminal behavior across this country. You know that as well as I do.
Now, as far as this new situation in Spokane, of course I don't want to see a officer get shot, the K9 is an officer of law; however, there are tons of shootings against officers where the suspects are not shot and killed by officers, nor is every shooting case, a go ahead for police to kill the suspect(s) involved.
That said, and given the eye-witness statement, this matter seems a bit strange, and it needs to be thoroughly investigated to determine if the suspect was not 'only' shot because he shot the dog, and that the suspect (longest) was a threat to the police officer(s) who shot.
We just need to ascertain whether the shooting was to quell a threat to the community and the officers involved, or just retaliation for the K9, which is murder.
Police arrest people all the time with guns, all the time who shoot those guns, and even very often suspects that shoot at them...and bring those criminals before a court of law as understood to be what the police charter is nationally, not judge, jury, and executor.
That's bull.I train police dogs. You shoot a police dog,every officer on the scene,who has a rightful expectation of being able to go home to their family, is in mortal danger. I have never heard in all my years of a perp shooting at a police dog or officers who did not respond in kind. You don't have any cop friends do you? Be honest, you don't like them either because you are placing a felon discharging a deadly weapon on the same moral plateuas as the officers pursuing.

I believe officers of the law need to be careful and use disgretion. Killing people is not right. Bring them in, arrest them, do the honorable thing. The dog did his job, the suspect did not kill him. Use disgretion officers of the law--use disgretion. You aren't murderers, you are there to bring the criminals to justice. Your badge does not give you the right to kill whenever you think you might be able to justify it. Putting innocent citizens at risk is not right either. That incident showed a hole in some innocent residence's house. Just call for back-up and try to arrest the suspect.
