With the kind of money that harley "The Corporation" makes, why should the state have to kick in any kind of money for anything? Corporate welfare ****'s.

Because it is what it is. Every State is trying to steal each others business. If Wisconsin doesn't offer Harley $$$$ some other state will and bye bye Wisconsin.

I say good riddance, i wish they would leave, the bikes are ridiculously loud and fall apart every 1000 or so miles, yes ive owned three. I spent more time working on my bikes than i did ridding them. Now that i live in town i cant stand the machines, every night at bar close, 1-2AM i get to listen to them and feel them as they drive down my street, i never knew what i put people through with mine. Why these vehicles are allowed to be so loud is beyond me since i cant put glass packs on my car. You would think people would have enough common sense to not throttle them wide open in the middle of town...Although i didnt, i guess it karma

Harley culture trumps commom sense in Wisconsin.

Good point about the noise. My car can't be that loud.

I also love poker runs. Drunk cops riding bikes on the weekends for "the kids". Can the rest of us do that?

It's a cult of escapism. And don't dare question it in this state.

Thanks to who cares for criticizing the sacred cow. The riders can look and dress however they want(which looks kinda silly sometimes if you ask me!) but when they go by house at 5 in the morning and wake me up, it kinda pisses me off.

How about W-2 for the corporations? If they don't provide good paying jobs with benefits that include health insurance, we cut off their tax breaks. The same goes for WalMart if they want to come to town.

As you might have read my my column last year in the Chilton Times-Journal "Hollywood Daze" we have the Love Ride every year out here. This past year there were more than a hundred thousand bikers riding from Glendale to Castaic Lake and then beer and bands. All for children. It's funny but 99% of the bikes breaking down on the way are Harleys. But Harley is as American as Ford or Chevy. And Milwaukee is known world wide for Harley. And beer of course. Wisconsin without Harley would be....well it would still be the closest I'll ever get to Heaven but it would be a shame to lose them.

Loud pipes saves lives period! If the cagers would learn to pay attention to the road instead of their makeup, cell phones or eating maybe we wouldn't need the loud pipes to get your attention.

Helmets save lives to but i dont see most of you riding around with them on. If it werent for the motorcycle gangs marching on Madison we would have a helmet law here. All your loud pipes do is **** people off.

If you ride then you would know that you have more respect for the bike and road and to whats going on around you when you dont have a helmet on.

you are all ignorant. Loud stuff just irritates people. By the time you hear a harley with pipes at any intersection it's thru the intersection. helmets do sae live and riding without does allow the rider to be more in tune with their surroundings IMO. Good luck buttholesurfers.

BETTER TO LET THEM RIDE WITHOUT BRAIN BUCKETS. IT HELPS KEEP THE POPULATION UNDER CONTROL. ANOTHER THING TO THINK ABOUT IS THE PEOPLE THEY HELP EMPLOY BY BUYING THE MAINTENANCE HEAPS THEY DRIVE. SPEND MORE ON A HARLEY. THE BROKER IT IS THE BETTER CHANCE OF LIVING YOU WILL HAVE.
