MYTH 1:“Foreign cars are better.” MYTH 2:“Driving foreign doesn’t hurt economy.” Today, both are ILLUSIONS!

Re No.1, see recent J.D. Power reports: In quality, American and foreign run neck and neck. Material differences that might have existed years ago, no longer do.

But persons brainwashed by BIASED media think otherwise. For years media have been touting foreign, especially Japanese, and bashing American.

Incredibly, FOR FREE (you have to wonder about this) our own media help sell MILLIONS of Japanese cars. This backing plus Japanese dealers’ unethical trashing-sales pitches cost Ford, GM, and Chrysler millions of sales! And since they impact 20% of our economy, America loses millions of JOBS! So much for Myth 2.

But the Japanese say:“We build cars in the U.S.

Yes, SOME. They want us to think Japanese is American. HELLO! Whatever! The important thing: profits from them GO TO JAPAN and benefit people there, not here!

And get this: MOST Japanese cars sold here are built in Japan and shipped here by boat!

Then there’s this reality: Annually, Japanese-parent-automaker corporations in Japan reap 31% of their income from America, billions of dollars.

We’re Japan’s cash cow! This, despite our almost 50 million people with no health care, 37 million in poverty including 18% of our kids, 77,000 bridges needing repairs or rebuilding, interstate highways crumbling, city schools deteriorating, and unemployment highest in 26 years.

Despite all that, we let Japan leech on us? Can we build cars there? No! They impose costs and barriers that make it undoable. In ‘08 we sold only 10,000 there! But they sold us 3-4 MILLION! Fair?

And how about this: They’ve even refused to buy our apples! Practically speaking, they close their 160 million-people market to us.

We let them get away with all this stuff? Yep! In Washington, they have a potent lobby. E.g., they creamed Clunkers. Foreign car buyers got rebates too!

We have 81 billion in the Big 3. What did we do? Instead of helping them, we clobbered them by boosting the Japanese! Their sales here were slipping. Ford was outselling Toyota! But Clunkers reversed that! Duh!

How? Unlike the inventory-pinched Big 3, the Japanese had a plentiful supply of Clunkers-eligible cars. So, Clunkers helped them get several hundred thousand conquest sales from the Big 3. This will cost us more jobs.

Yes, despite Clunkers’ sound-good figures, we shot ourselves in the foot. At the expense of our economy we gave Japan and S. Korea’s a huge boost. Clunkers was a billion $ BONANZA for those people. They love us!

Speaking of S. Koreans, in ‘08 we bought 800,000 of their cars. They bought 6,000 of ours. Fair trade?

Another bummer: Few if any Big 3 dealers push,“BUY AMERICAN?” Why not? They also sell Japanese and S. Korean. But if they’d push American, they’d put thousands of people back to work. Yes, dealers could really help the economy. But shortsightedly they don’t.

Anyway,“FOREIGN-CAR-I-TIS,” fueled by media, has finally caught up with us. So far, it’s cost us a million jobs! We could lose up to 4 million.

But there’s hope: the Big 3 are getting stronger. Still the Asians are poised to devour our industry. Shall we help them?

NO! NO! Let’s back the Big 3, one of which, Ford, lately has been shining. Hopefully, we’re waking up: CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME, not in Japan or S. Korea!

We have to realize MYTHS 1-2 are baloney! They really punish the economy.

Bottom line: Help put our country back on its feet! DRIVE AMERICAN!
