carlton gary what a waste of taxpayers dollars for a guilty killer$$

I hope now this saga is over. This man is as guilty as sin of committing multiple murders. To top it off some hotshot author has written a book that will probably be turned into a movie one day and this author Snow is just spouting racism and making Columbus present and past government officials and the Columbus Police Department look stupid, when in fact Snow is just out to make money. Carlton Gary committed the murders he was tried for as well as the others he was not tried on. Now honor the Murder Convictions and put Carlton Gary to death as it should have been done years ago.

Clearly the author of this post has not read my book., on which I worked for nine years. If he had done so, he might feel less certain that the right man is due to be put to death. Perhaps looking at the case with an open mind is too difficult.

I do not have to read your book. I am closer to this case than you know. If you had truly done your research you would have found more details that was never released to the press. Carlton Gary committed the first murder, Fern Jackson I am positive of that fact. I may read your book someday, but as I have read what was in the press about it I believe the author took some liberties with this. As you should know there is no statue of limitations on murder and if his convictions are ever overturned, then I am sure he will be charged with the remainder of the murders that he was never tried for. I have an open mind, I lived through this case, Fern Jackson was so close to my family she was like an Aunt to me. I am confident that Carlton Gary committed her murder.

One more thing when the detective stated to you that "God told Him", did it ever occur to you that he was just joking with you, or being a smart ass.

I realy do appreciate your work, it is just that these murders were so traumatic for myself and my family as well as the Columbus, Georgia as a whole.
It was during a period of time when Columbus was under so much racial turmoil.

I was a child of 7 when these stranglings took place & I remember being terified. I remember going with my father to the hardware store to purchase deadbolt locks for my 2 Grandmothers who were widows, one of whom lived in the Wynton area. Halloween was cancelled that year because of the fear we were all experiencing. I have to say, even though alot of people are troubled by your book, that I truly enjoyed it! I finihed the book in just 3 days! I learned so much about the history of our town that I never knew! Although I do not know whether Gary is guilty or not I do agree with you that he did not have a fair trail. Thank you for writing this book!

I believe you ment to say you read the article that Mr. Rose did. I am the one who started this posting.
Carlton Gary is guilty of these murders. Mr. Rose's book is a work of fiction, however somewhat based on the Stocking Strangling murders, but a work of fiction.

I am utterly appauled to discover that there are still people alive in this world such as you sir. I am not able to determine whether Gray is guilty, however I do believe that every man irrelevant of colour or creed, deserves a free trial. Under no circumstances would the British government or most other governments worldwide, allow this trial to have run as it has done. You seemso sure about Gary's guilt, how do you explain the lack of evidence available, the inability of the prosecution to match semen samples, teeth marks, and discover any form of DNA??? Surely for somebody who is so sure of this mans guilt, you should be able to answer all of these questions easily.
You claim that Snows writing implied the Columbus

Perhaps when an individual states the truth about this topic it makes the government officials and Columbus police look stupid! As for Snow writing for profeit.... Tom Rodgers is most likely a confederate flag waving traitor who should first be put on trial for treason.

There seem to be a few people in this forum that should be put on trial.... and neither Gray or Rodgers are on my mind.
