Tonight in the Columbus-Phenix City area are the two best open mic talent shows in town, first one is at fountain City Coffeehouse at 1008 Broadway downtown Columbus, hosted by Brian Mallard. This one kicks off at 7pm.

The next one is Del Ranch in Smith's Station, Alabama, near the Phenix City Wal Mart. This open mic kicks off at 9pm and can last until daylihht if there's enough customers buying beers and tipping.

DO NOT ATTEND ANY OPEN MIC VENUES
Your opinion has been noted, my anonymous, bitter little friend.

Anyone *does* decide to attend and enjoy the best talents in the area, two of the best are happening tonight:

Yet you sure seem to "know" a lot about them, and the music scene, "Avoid". Apparently you tried to be a part of it, was rejected, now you lash out with these hysterical, anonymous posts.

I doubt you can even see how pathetic you are.

Anyone who has been around any of the venues around town and seen and heard some of these performers know that your statements are hysterical lies... you're so pathetic, obsessed and deelusional that I'm curious what could have possibly turned you into such a sad jeering freak... and no wonder you hide behind all these fake names, anonymous one, you're no doubt embarrassed by all these weird posts as you make them, even in hiding.

See. Charlie gets mad and like some crazed nut wants to know every detail about anyone who JUST SAYS NO! to his domination. Reread the last post. Can you just imagine how he must treat people he falls out with. Also, isn't it interesting that not once has any of the owners, representatives or participants in these venues he posts ever post or appear on these threads saying anything. That is because they are all psychologically in control and fear even muttering. Look at all of the live performances. All the musicians have blank looks on their faces. Expressionless. Because they don't want to be noticed by the lunatic. So avoid all of these local shows. You cannot allow yourself to become one of the lunatic's puppet pawns in his shadowville psychosis. In fact RUN AWAY FROM THESE EVENTS. Stay clear. The local music scene is ruint.
No, you seem to be off your meds again, since here's a comprehensive overview of the local Columbus-Phenix City music scene,

http://www.youtube.com/user/RusticViewer07/vi...

which is nothing like the crazed, delusional and pathetic description you give above, which is obviously based on your obesssed agenda to try to attack, libel and smear members of the music scene who hurt your feelings long ago... no wonder you hide behind the fake names, my anonymous little groupie.

There's a Wal Mart Supercenter, one of those HQ building supply places of "super center" size, and multiple fast food and other businesses out there on that stretch of Highway 280 now.

For those whp haven't been to Del Ranch before, this is how we direct them to it.

Pass Wal Mart, take a Left at the next light, next to the HQ, follow that road a couple of blocks to the dead end (Old Opelika Road), hang a right there and Del Ranch is just down the road, on the Left.

A half mile in one direction, must be West towards downtown Smith's Station, and you pass the brand new Smith's Station High School, a huge modern school on the same side of thje road as Del Ranch... passing in front of the school you can see the old flashing lights of Del Ranch just down the road.

In the other direction, headed East to Phenix City, about a block down there's a left turn that goes over the railroad tracks, and this is the couple of blocks that runs into Highway 280, with Wal Mart, several gas stations, McDonalds, Chick-Filla, even an I-Hop out there...

Smith Station had a vote and decided to become a "City" a few years ago, and all this stuff just flooded in.

The Wal Mart and all that is near where the graveyard, funeral homes, the lake, all that is out that way if that places it better in 1980s landmarks.

"Reef Shark", for those of you who can't make it out to Del Ranch, the entire show is broadcast live on the Internet each week:

Old broadcasts are also archived there.

Del Ranch usually begins the internet broadcasts around 9pm on Thursdays, sometimes other days but mostly when Geno Woolfolk sets it up on that night.

Reef Shark, I meant to ask earlier, around what years did you live out in Smith's Station, the 1970s, or earlier?

I wish I'd known Rick, Henry and Roger back then but didn't until the next decade, when The Loft was founded and gave all the various local artists a central meeting/performing area in 1992.
