Maybe in this case you should get your information from history instead of the news? ACLU was founded by a Communist.
and that matters because?

There is a difference between communal and communist?
I didn't much like my mother taking money from my work and redistributing it to non working siblings.
Only difference is size. The result of all the members labor goes into one pool and is used to benifit all members of the group.

Very sound theory for young families, even extended families. Bad theory for nation States.

The problem is that it is a slippery slope, once you start handing out entitlements people tend to see them as a right. Social security and medicare are one thing, paid for over and during ones working life, you pay into it you expect something out of it.
We are headed that way though, the full police state might come first though, not sure which first.

It is starting to get to me that some of the posters seem to embrace communism. Its another indication of how our young have been cheated of an education.

People already do! Especially those on Access and in Section 8! They get SO annoyed if they can't find a doctor who can fit them in right away who is right around the corner. And even more absolutely outraged if they don't get the drugs they want!

No one here is embracing communism. You are embracing the thought of it. That is where it begins and ends. Maybe you are related to Sen. McCarthy. If you are a democrat then you must be communist?? Do you realize how silly that sounds?

How silly of you to attribute words to me I never said. I am a Democrat. Not a progressive/communist. McCarthy was right though not a relative. Sorry about your lack of reading comprehension. On the other hand there are many communist leaners in this whitehouse. Not rumours but their own words.

*sigh* It's aggravating when people take your words and twist them into an extreme idea that is completely different than what you wrote. Don't pay any mind... we read your original posts and do have enough reading comprehension to understand what you meant. I am quite sure no one would ever confuse YOU with a communist!

The offense was accusing me of saying all Democrats are communists. It's not just twisting its reading what isn't there and repeating it to make some point they aren't capable of making without the lie. I would say more dems are guilty of this black and white thinking with no shades of gray even though they claim conservatives are rigid. With the new democratic party, if you don't toe the line on every point, you must not be one of them. I'm not a communist but I'm not a Republican either. I don't think I'm extremely conservative either but the left has pushed a lot of us into a corner where we have to fight or die out. The death of common sense is not something to aspire to.

They are on a "mission" from the DNC. I'm looking for a way to get the snakes out of my party before it is totally destroyed from within. Their mistake is in thinking that all dems think the way they do.It's a definite weakness.

It is you that has trouble with comprehension. You are the one that says the administration is trying to make us a socialist, communist country, and you say it often. If you think McCarthy was right, that says it all. Now tell me how I didn't understand that one. You said "McCarthy was right". The way you write on this thread I figured you were a republican.

I don't have the least problem understanding Aunnie position on politics. She's seems to pretty clear-all the time.

You're not the first one who has used the word comprehension as an argument on these forums. Now that seems to be one way the Liberals have been arguing. the other is name calling.

It's pretty simple; If you are leaning in approval of Obama's stimulus package and health care reform you probably are socialist to some extent and don't even know it yet.

The majority of people I talk with regarding those plans and the polls seem to point out that Americans are now against most anything Obama touches. Not because they do not like him but because they fear he is steering America to Socialism.

your friend is the first one to insult me with the word comprehension. I was just telling her that it was she that had a comprehension problem. If you have time, go back and read the whole thread.

I won't say McCarthy was right but I also won't say he was 100% wrong, we have had and have many closet communists the same way we had many many Nazis and Nazi sympathizers before and during WWII and that is fact not conjecture. Many closet communists, the Intellectual Elite ended up as professors and teachers and that was expected, that was part of the 'takeover', teach the children and when they grow up they will be good little sheep.

Please explain how I am wrong on what this administration is doing. Admitted that the previous president set the stage for it. Nothing ever"says it all". McCarthy found moles in our government and became alarmed leading possibly to overkill. That gave the lefty radicals more ammunition to stifle debate. Only in those academic elites and pseudo-intellectuals do we find his name used as a curse word. Now they use the name of our country as a curse word.

I think you comprehend what I actually say. You just want it to match what you think I said so you invent or enhance for me.You would get much further without the varnishing?

He wasn't right. He ruined people's lives that were innocent of what he accused them of, communism. He took that and ran with it and left broken people in his wake. He didn't care.

Want to watch something interesting, head over to http://www.intouch.org and look for 'Is America a Christian Nation' it's in November 2009 or July 2009 in the archives. Absolutely fabulous presentation once you get past the first 2 min or so of preamble :-)))) I'm know I'm going to regret it but I plan on ordering a dvd of it even though I know I'll be inundated with junk mail but it is that good.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Virgo

You're struggling to get everything finished in time today, making you feel fractious and tired. At some point you may have to take a pragmatic decision about which tasks must be completed today and which will have to be postponed until another day. Do your best to keep things in proportion otherwise you'll waste time in trivial details and needless nit-picking.
