Howard police charge man in Columbia slaying

Full story: Baltimore Sun

Howard County police have arrested a 21-year-old man in a killing that occurred Saturday morning in Columbia. Ronald Derrick McConnell, who police say has no fixed address, was arrested while walking in front of a relative's house in the 9400 block of Merryrest Court in Columbia. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and reckless endangerment in the death of Jason Batts, 23. Batts, of the 6200 block of Painted Yellow Gate in Columbia, was found just before 3 a.m. on Saturday fatally shot in the parking lot of Stevens Forest Apartments in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road. Batts was Howard County's second homicide victim this year.

Ronald McConnell is a good Howard County Citizen. He doesn't deserve to be locked up. In fact, I hear he was nominated for the citizen of the year award in howard county. Thanks Ronald for having such a positive impact on the community and for volunteering your time to make our neighborhoods a safer place.

Jason Batts was my cousin and its a shoame what happened to him. My aunt isn't the same spunky aunt. I didn't hang around him much but he was and cool laidback type of dude. His brother lost his other half. And whoever did it should kill themselves!

Obviously you don't know anything cause he did not do it, but you wouldn't know cause you don't know what is really going on behind closed doors, and just so you know, Howard County Police have it out for him and always have, so as far as I am concerned you can go and fuck your self, and whom ever momo is, they are not a dumb ass, you just don't know what you are talking about!

Blah blah blah. The funny thing is you never mention how Ronald McConnell brought on his own problems. The police never had it out for him homeboy. Ronald McConnell was just as useless as you are in society. Be a man and take responsibility for your actions.

Learn how to spell homeboy and nobody cares about Jason Batts. He is just another loser just like you. He was not a "cool laidback type of dude". He was a criminal that did nothing for the community except cause problems.

You're wrong Sid Vicious, a lot of people cared for Jason, his family, friends and neighbors. I'm his aunt, I loved him dearly. You may have never been loved, so you wouldn't know about such things. Ihope no one precious, and close to you is never murdered, for if love has escaped you, the pain and hurt will find your simple ass !

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Pisces

If you-know-who has been getting on your nerves recently, matters will soon come to a head and force you to take drastic action. As Mars turns tail in your sixth house, you might finally lose your rag with someone at work who's been testing your patience to the limit. Stand your ground if you feel you're being messed about in some way. Clear the air if needs be, but don't create a really nasty atmosphere by throwing an eye-popping tantrum. Take care of any infections.
