Wal-Mart?

Does anyone know anything else about russell springs getting a Wal-Mart? Please tell me we are. So Wal-Mart please choose us we need you.

i agree it will be a very long time before russel co. gets a wal-mart. adair co. was suppose to get a super wal-mart bout 2 years agao and it still aint here

adair county will be getting a walmart out by the new on and off ramps on 61 south by the cumberland parkway because the land has already been sold to walmart they are just waiting for the road to get done!!

umm.. NO wal-mart it 10 times better than K-mart

k-mart may have a wider selection but they are so much more expensive at k-mart

O.K. Taylormade we will take that offer. K-Mart never has what you need all sale items are always sold out or unavailale in this area, plus things are much more expensive. K-Mart is a sorry excuse for a discount store. Most Russell Countians would take a Wal-Mart(any size) to this K-mart.

People always seem to want what is not available to them. I would trade Wal Mart for K Mart anyday. Our Wal Mart in Columbia never has anything you really need. Whatever you do,
don't get hurt at WalMart...anywhere. You will never get them to pay for any type of medical expenses. Want to know why WalMart makes so much money? Cause they don't pay when they should. I've always heard that the Managers get big bonuses every year based on annual sales! That money should be going to people who get injured in their stores.

Kmart clothing last much longer than walmart. They do not fade as quick. The thread count in the sheets is higher in kamart. So I may pay a few pennies more but it last much longer. I hate to buy a new top or pants and wash it one time and looks old. Kmart does have good sales. I like both but Kmart has English speaking people more often in the cities. I am not putting down the other languages BUT when you work in the public you should speak the native tongue of those customers. So Walmart is welcome in any of the towns. I will continue to shop at the big Kmart. If you find anything on sale at Walmart and take the flyer to Kmart they will let you have the item for the same price, or proof that an item is something at walmart and they will let you have it for that price. I have done that several times. But as it was stated prior people seem to want what they do not have. I am proud to have any establishment big or small. Walmart and Kmart I sure cannot afford the big malls. So Kmart here I come.

I have heard that negotiations are underway for Wal-Mart to purchase a rather large amount of land in Russell Springs. Think about it which town is growing faster Russell Springs or Columbia. The most sensible thing for wal-mart to do is locate in Russell Springs. We have a larger population and alot more to offer them here. I hope they come here and not columbia.

what have you got to offer??No work there or in columbia.Main street is falling down If I was walmart I wouldnt choose either one..Columbia is getting a new bypass.Walmart in Columbia says they will get the new walmart...My opinion only and no offense intended.

Walmart has given a couple of Business owners some good faith money for the land their business sits on. Last thing Ive heard is talks are underway and the area they are looking at is beside K-Mart across Bernard Lane.....Very Reliable sources.

This is the same things that I have heard. We can only hope they come here. Thanks for all of the responses. Hopefully we are going to be lucky enough to get the Wal-Mart.

Call 1-800-walmart (home office #). If enough ppl call maybe they will finally make a statement on where the supercenter is going (Columbia or RS) if its going anywhere around here and when.

Russell County would definitely be the best location and would attract more torists dollars due to the Marina and State Park!

I have heard that the property that some friends of mine bought last year on Bernard Lane in Russellsprings, is going to be the place for the new Wal-mart

I think you have Walton's Mountain and Wal-mart mixed up.... It was Sam Walton who founded Wal-Mart...John Walton was on top of the mountain.
