water bills going up

i think it is ridiculous that our water bills are going up. everyone one should check an see how much money they are paying stone a year 150000.oo plus a year. this is including bonuses. plus he has a chevy truck we furnish that is the best truck you can buy with heated seats an everything. not only that other new people that have walked into high paying jobs. plus all the trips they they take with plenty of food an booze. do they have anymore openings out there.

They also created a asisttant position that is also very high paying and they drive a nice 4 door. They raised the rates when the took over the City's mess and now want another 20% also heard at the fiscal court meeting last night they were asking for a higher incentive program for the workers whats that going to cost us another 20% next year. I haven't had a raise in 5 years its hard I know but thay should deal with the economy like us all. They are going to build a office out by the new water tower by wal-mart. So let me get this strait they have a nice new office out at the treatment plant(that we built in taylor county) the one on grant lane where we pay our bills, and now they need another one by wal-mart. I hope people see that the county judge and fiscal court are taxing us to death, the county just raised taxes also to pay for that enormous size road department.

you are stuck with that bunch of theives, for the time being. when the nest election comes up and they start telling nobody has the brains to run this big operation just think of james ray.

these outragous tax increases and rate raises are just the beginning of meltons dictatorship . we screwed up electing this bunch . and billy rowe is dumb as a rock

It's all about growing your local government and if it aint broke just leave it the f-ing alone. The road department is an army of voting people who just want a pay check like anyone else would if they are willing to work hard and go that extra mile to lay there lives on the line and risk everything to make it safe and are willing to work long hours of overtime to salt the roads and the like......I'd take the best half and send the others packing and save the county some money. The water company needs to trim it's crew and forget anything new because this crap never ends.

Easy for you to say for them the "forget anything new", you have county water available. Well what some of you people don't understand is there are still some of us out in the county that water is not available to us. Beleive me if I could get County water I promise I wound't complain aobut a $4 a month increase, I would love to be able to pay $20 bucks a month for water. I hope they keep on adding lines and maybe i'll finally get water. You that have water should be thankful!!!

funny thing is i thought the water district started out being for none profit and all the money goes back into the funds , awile back they had some serious money put back, why should the county pay for the city lines, wasnt that made clear before the merger ?

I bet your kids go to ACES also. Just so you know the City of Columbia is in Adair County. If you look at it like that then people who live in the city shouldn't have to pay County taxes but in fact they pay both city and county. And by definition Merger means "to come together", maybe that means the city and county comes together.

Let's talk about bonuses in the thousands. Guess that's one reason our water bills are outrageous. PSC should be advised.

yhis is all the plan of ann and her cronies, boss hog, rlw and the rest are together and screwing you black and blue. they knew what they were doing when they merged the water company. it was so the county would have to pay for the years of neglect of the sick little burg.
this whole thing wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the pay increases that big ann keeps giving her cronies and the little boys of the road dept road dept that can't get a job anywhere else.

Why can't they get the job done with what they got, why is it always more more more.

I just read in the paper that lenny stoned payed 250 thousand dollars of our money for some property by wal-mart to build a new office.....but the new office plans have now been put on hold till this blows over. This retarded crap is why some don't get water lines....what the hell is going on. Who did he buy it from and why.....

didn't they buy it from the holiday place comsortium, the bigdeal that is taking adair out of the dsrk ages. these are all pretty good things but the screwing you are getting is the caud(do they not have the weakest web site you have ever seen).
my louville buddy said when lt gov abramson needed to provide sewer and water to prp the city of louville let pleasure ridge park pay for it.
the question is why are the taxpayers in the county paying to reconstruct the water lines in the city that should have been repaired while they were deteriorating?
