You know....if someone has been an officer at a small town police force for 8 years....and is now the only officer there, it should be an automatic that he become chief. Unless he isn't well qualified. The fact the only one there hasn't been named chief long ago tells me all I need to know about his qualifications for the position. And really.....does anyone respect a cop who has "007" on the tag of his truck??? really??? Could you say small town idiot any louder???

Maybe you should attend some meetings and be involved in the community if that is where you live before you assume that you know the answer. 007 was a joke that someone gave to him and was ment for "internal" purposes only. If you ask anyone with Kinsey they will tell you that "007" is qualified, but as small towns go, money is always an issue. Their point is, if we can get "retired" applicants here to work, then why would we pay someone else any benifits when the state already pays?? That is why people should not talk if they don't know what is going on. It ruins the reputation of "actual" good people when bad people have been allowed to do what they want for SO MANY YEARS!
