Group Protests Tighter License Restrictions

Nick Smith, a spokesman for the House Republicans, said the legislative proposal is intended to erase doubts about the legality of that order.

He said anything the Legislature passes likely will not bring Oregon into full compliance with the federal REAL ID act, which seeks to standardize identification that can be used to board airliners and enter some federal buildings.

But he said the Oregon requirement for a verifiable Social Security number is a first step.

Oregon has said it will ask for an extension to meet the federal REAL ID deadline, set for this spring." END

Is it possible that illegal aliens are being used as guinea pigs to observe how various systems of identifying people actually works? First the illegals, then the legal American citizens. There are many things the government could test on illegal aliens. Just a thought.

Why are they protesting? Maybe the restrictions apply to those who are here illegally or decline to state their immigration status.

For Americans, everything.
For illegals, nothing!

Kudos to Kulongosky!!!!! Hillsboro(Hills-burrito) Cornelius (Cornhole-ius) and Forest Grove(Forced-Droves) have been totally taken over by these people. The crime is way outta control here. The stores have all changed to cater to them. How is it all these poor down and out people are all driving brand new 30,000 dollar rigs? Everything has been changed to satisfy them and they still snivel when asked to do what the rest of us have to.

Read this and then tell me what you think the rights of "Illegal's" should be. I Say give the jobs back to the young Americans that used to do the work before hand. I know several right now that are looking for work. Any of the Farms care to pay them a fair wage?????

The magic formula for doing away with this great nation isn't magic at all. In fact, this eight-step process is as easy as apple pie.
Take it from the former Governor of Colorado, Dick Lamm, who revealed the "steps" at an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington D.C., attended by some of America's deepest thinkers.
Before Lamm, however, the first speaker, a brilliant professor named Victor Hansen Davis, gave his talk. He discussed his new book "Mexifornia" which told how immigrants, both legal and illegal, were destroying the entire state of California. He said this wave of immigrants would eventually march across the country until it destroyed all aspects of The American Dream.
Then it was Gov. Lamm's turn. He stood up, walked quietly to the lectern and began to speak. What he said stunned the audience. They sat absolutely spellbound as the ex-governor casually said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy it. It is not hard to do. If you know how to go about it."
Then, Lamm went on to reveal the procedure that he said was certain to do the trick. He spelled out the eight simple steps.
"First," Lamm said, "I would turn America into a multi-lingual and multi-cultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures.
"Second, I would encourage immigrants to maintain their culture and make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal, and that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority.

I will tell you!--they will pack their bags and go back to where-ever they came from--or they will not come here in the first place---sounds great to me!

I know where I would move to if I were an illegal alien, THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, they may even pay my moving expenses.

Having a drivers license is a privilege, not a right.

I hope they get violent, I mean very violent. Break out the teargas and tasers. Time to teach these illegal aliens exactly what real American thinks of them.

The Hispanics are always the ones who try to protect the Illegals and march to defy our laws. Their march did NOTHING to change the law and more and more you will see they will NOT get their way any longer. The American citizens have had enough and are demanding the immigration laws be enforced.

Illegal do NOT need a license because they are NOT supposed to be in the United States.

They have the right to come here. There is a process that can be taken to come to America and work as an illegal. It's the going back at the end of the job that they don't get. And the nerve of the state of Oregon to ask that these people show their right to be here before they are given a license to drive. All they have to do is do it the right way and not the mexican way.

Legal status should mean providing legitimate documents. Everyone else here had too! My concern about U.S. not being able or willing to secure borders doesn't leave me feeling comfortable about how easy that makes it for terrorists. I guess the rioters only care about what they can get from us as opposed to National Security.I'm happy to be back in my home state of Oregon Tucson,Arizona was real scary. They would go to Tucson and steal our cars and drive them across border to never be seen again.

No license means they won't have insurance either. Accidents fall back on insurance companies and you and I.

At this moment, I'm undecided as to who will get my vote for the presidency. But I'll tell ya...if one of the candidates were to step up and say he/she would send the illegals packing, and then close the border, and KEEP GOOD on his/her word, that's the one I'd vote for. It's way past time that this country stopped bending over backwards for non-citizens, illegal or otherwise, and started taking care of the people and problems we already have here. I'm not at all saying that we should cater to those Americans who don't want to work...want to sit on their butt, keep having babies, and collect welfare. Get illegals outta here, and then put our own lazy people to work. I think that if ppl are gonna be on welfare, make them work for it. They can have the jobs that would open up if the illegals were sent home. I do understand that not everybody on welfare is lazy. I know there are actually some honest ppl out there who use it for what it was initially intended for...a little help to get you back on your feet. We all hit rough spots now and then. Back to my topic....and to sum it up...I can see why illegals want to come here...LAND OF THE FREE...you betcha! Everything's free for them!
