Colton council discusses city manager appointment late into the...

Well, the closed door session finally ended and they finally ended up with a 7-0 vote in favor of Rodney Foster who will began as Colton's new City Manager on Dec. 7th. Councilman David Tora did a great job leading the council to that 7-0 vote that he wanted so much for unity. I know that Chief Miller will be more that happy to step down and return go being Chief of Police. I understand that our new City Manager took some voluntary benefits cuts to take this job. That's a good start. Welcome Mr Foster, I know you are jumping into a finance crises and I belief you can handle the job and will do the right think for the citizens of Colton.

hmmm..how would you know how much input Toro had in a closed door session unless you were behind those doors???

Nothing to figure our there "Mr. Observer" Mr Toro said may time in open sessions that he wanted a 7-0 vote and that's what he worked for in closed session judging from the results.

David Toro is as honest as his predecessors, Don Sanders and Ramie what's-his-name. If he got a 7-0, we can only guess what the payoff was. What a crooked little town.

If Colton is in such a drastic budget position why would they hire a city manager at $250.000 a year. bob could have run the show as police chief and dropped his $ 217.000 dollar a year salary. Its not like acting chief Ward does anything.Ward could do what he does now as a captain which is nothing.

It really does not matter who or how much they pay a city manager in Colton the Mayor and council run the show and wont listen to a word he says.
