Mandatory testing for hepatitis and HIV needs to be implemented as a requirement for working in any part of the medical field, even as a secretary. Problem solved. Until we see massive lawsuits though this will not see the light of day.

here's my problem with your solution.

if a company is given such power (by the government) that they can force a healthcare worker to disclose their HCV or HIV status, then what's next?

discrimination of people with cancer? discrimination of people with diabetes?

because once they make the ruling that can force someone to disclose their private health history...believe me, it wont stop with just HCV and HIV.

once that chip is broken off the block, the next step will be to pulverise that block of protection we all have and we ALL will be forced to disclose our private health history.

as for HCV or HIV....you are more likely to catch my cold a million times than you are to catch HCV or HIV from me.(i'm a nurse)

what happened here is tragic. this girl will be in jail the rest of her life where she should be.

but to say now that as a patient, you have the right to know about my medical history is something i don't agree with.

if that power is given...then whats next??

Daily Horoscope for November 23

Gemini

You may have to take a trip at a moment's notice, so don't let the unexpected jangle your nerves. Look at the day as an adventure, and welcome unexpected twists and turns. The Twins have been far too predictable lately and could use a change of pace, anyway. Those of you who end up staying planted in terra firma could find yourself on a journey of the mind, as philosophical debate turns into an intellectual adventure!
