Tired, what do your posts bring to the discussion? This is a real discussion between concerned people about a real problem. Personal attacks have no place here - go away...

juswondering wrote: I agree 100% with what has been written thus far. It is a hard pill to swallow having so-called refugees shoved down our throats when the people whom have lived here for years are not afforded the same opportunities. I have ranted for some time about the fine beef plant and their placating of these folks, I ask the higher ups there as well, are you affording the non-refugee citizens of Morgan County the same educational and employment opportunities? I have deliberately done my part so as not to patronize such business practices by raising and processing my own non-chemically induced beef, I will refrain and suggest to others to do the same when it comes to patronizing businesses who claim on the one hand to be American and do nothing more than take from Americans and give to others. We do have a choice in the matter, we can be heard one way or another, our loss of dollars to this industry is a loss of a vote at the ballot box. I am not against churches or religion but it seems to me that there is a shift in this country to save every citizen of every other country except our own, this needs to stop. When this influx started to occur I asked myself who was the rocket scientist behind this, take a group of black refugees and move them to an agricultural part of the State to start out? We need to stop with the sugar coating and over political correctness and get back down to calling it like we see it. This whole delusional concept of assimilation is for the birds, who is expected to assimilate, those whom live here or those whom come here, I submit to you it is becoming those whom have lived here. It is ironic that we are in an atmosphere of immigration control and some have suggested closing our borders and we continue to bring people into this country by the bus loads. When such moves are contemplated by the rocket scientists perhaps they should stop to consider the negative impact on a region and not simply discount the fact that everyone will be accepting of it. I am sick of a continuing pattern of "assimilating" to other cultures and beliefs in a country I have lived in my entire life. Thanks Cargill and the fine politicians whom are bought and paid for in Morgan county, perhaps it is time to send a message to these folks as well, new faces, new places...just like the refugees you have bombarded us with. Can someone tell me a good place a true red blooded American can migrate to and be equally placated? I believe totally in EQUAL opportunity for all BUT not at the expense of others. If you are sincere about living in another community that is great, I am relocating to Colorado Springs. I have a lot of relatives and friends living there now and it is a military town but growing safely and things are cheaper than here. I read the www.KKTV.com news everyday. Check it out. there is a small gang problem in the southern part but it is controlled from what I can tell on their news station. I also go into www.KRDO.com ..same thing..good stories. Good luck..

I must say I too got drawn in too by some personal attacks that were unwarranted and off topic and for this I apologize to all posters. I agree with your post that personal attacks really are unnecessary because the topic itself is one that appears to fuel most whom have posted.

juswondering wrote: <quoted text>Well let me tell you something Mr. or Ms. "Tired", your comment is not as insulting as you intended it to be and quite the contrary is pretty accurate except of course your derogatory intent. If you will, please take a moment to research the term "redneck" and you will find it is not the common derogatory intent you mean but one of a hard working person working in the sun for long hours, hence the "red neck". Such a term has taken on a negative and derogatory connotation over the years because yes, such people are opinionated, and yes they are not quite as tolerant as some other "go along, get alongs" in society. The term "skinnies" on the other hand refers to a group of people not known to carry a great deal of weight on their bones, hence what we see being forced down our throats. your moniker "Tired" is probably one accurately chosen but you do not understand fully the connotation behind it, it is one of "tired" alright, the rest of us in this "redneck" region being tired of the likes of you and your "go along, get along" ways. Perhaps in the future when you intend to throw about an insult, you will first do your homework to make certain it is not in all actuality, a compliment. On behalf of my many "redneck" friends in the region, we thank you and you just took top spot on our invite list for our next BBQ, guess what's for dinner, you guessed it...home grow and raised "redneck" beef. EEEEHHHHHHAAAAAWWWWW YOU ARE RIGHT ONE !!! REDNECKS RULE IN THIS AREA...THESE WHINING GOODY TWO SHOES FOLKS NEED TO MOVE TO AFRICA AND TAKE THIS FOLKS AND THEIR PRESIDENT WITH THEM...ENOUGH SAID..MY OPINION..WHICH I AM STILL FREE TO HAVE BUT NOT SURE FOR HOW LONG.

Almost jacked wrote: Like I said, take back your town folks. Its pretty easy, just defend yourself, your children and your fellow americans. Call them what you want, who cares, but dont call them " Black " that gives black folks a bad name that they dont deserve. Another thing that needs to be said is that they are not muslims. I have known " True " muslims and they dont do the kind of stuff these somalians do. They are respectful and very nice people. It is discusting the mockery they make of true muslims. Most true muslims dont even wear that crap. Very well said..well sort of lol. Most true muslims don't even wear that crap...including the president.

Your juvenile logic and deduction is second to none and your ability to read AND comprehend the English language is in question. Now that you have mentioned it, not all, but many "rednecks" are in fact a few pounds more than the "skinnies". This is because of the home grown and raised beef (you failed to read part of it didn't you, indicative of a bureaucrat, lawyer or politician) we choose to eat instead of the "veggies". Clearing up anything for you? A concept as rare as running a race in the Special Olympics, one can never win. Now go back to the front range or your mountain town and relish in the misery the likes of you create, and take a "skinny" (present party excluded) with you.. Awww that wasn't nice about the front range..there are a lot of rednecks living there. I married one from the front range.I love Ft.Morgan but hate what is happening here. I think I've made my views clear enough.

(it appears someone didnt like my post and deleted it! Well here it is again!!) Seems our little community is quite the joke in the world. http://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com ... According to this website, the murder here was an "honor killing" and isnt uncommon in tribes. The victim was watching TV in her apartment with men, which is a big "No No". Besides bitching and moaning, we seriously need to come up with some ideas to stop our town from becoming a "resettlement community". I wish the Fort Morgan Times would stop being so wishy washy and actually report the news, not this fluff crap.

rebecca, my kind of gal, I agree that there are rednecks living on the front range, but they don't stay there if they are true rednecks. They migrate out to the rural areas where their way of life and culture is seen as a good thing and are people of good morals. BUT then we get inundated with folks whom have not left their tribal instincts at home and refuse to "assimilate" into America as we know it. I sure do think the "melting pot" has become molten and we have lost our own true sense of identity and pride as Americans or we would stand up to this nonsense and put a stop to it. I do not know why we as a nation feel compelled to treat others from other countries humanely when they hate us to the core and await an opportunity to screw us into the ground. I have no problem being hated BUT I do resent the fact they they come over here and take full advantage of my taxpayer dollars to live better than I do. As I stated previously, this pill is becoming increasingly more bitter every day and I do not know how much more the American people can take. You politicians and "goody two shoed" folks better wake up from your perch, do not think we are stupid and have become complacent to the point that we are going to continue to be fed crap and expect us to enjoy the taste. If CHANGE was a platform for the previous administration, then lets acquiesce and show them some change AT THE BALLOT BOX. We have a system where political "good ole boys" become entrenched and take on a "town father" mentality at the expense of the rest of us. We are no longfer their "constituents" we are the fodder that puts their lousy arses in office. We must all work together and make our voices be heard. How's about "United Rednecks to Save America", lets get er rollin?

Have you heard how a Muslim woman is killed when she wants to leave the Muslim faith and live as we do, Do you really believe the reports in the Times about it being a stabbing? To stop the flow of refugees we have to get the flow of money stopped. The Dept of Human Ser. gives 10 churches and over 400 other org. like One Morgan County lots, Millions of $ in grants. The catholic church got 1.78 billion in 2008. So I started a fight against lots bigger than me, churches, Cargill, the gov. and feel pretty much alnoe. Lots of people agree with me and my petition but won't put their name on the line. This next week I am starting a new attack, I'm writing to Cargill's customers and asking them to quit buying meat from them or at least tell them in a letter to the main offices that they don't agree with what they are doing by hirirg refugees esp. when Americans are out of work. But really these churches have turned the refugee program into a money making business. I also attended the immigration history thing and all that was they were trying to make me look bad and actually they confirmed my thinking, Why should it be easy for these people our families worked and fought for our country and our freedom, it should be given to these people or to anyone, when someone is given something they don't respect it or love it and not willing to defend it with their lives as Americans are. They need to go home.

So what are any of you DOING to change what is going on? I've been the only one that's written to the Times. I've started a petition and lots of people have signed it, 435 so far, but lots won't put the name on the line and blog under some unknown name, it's different when you have to put your name on what you write. I got a very hateful e-mail from someone, no name tho. I wrote a 1000 word opinion letter to the Times and had to sign my name. I've put myself and my business in the line of fire in a big way, cause people in Morgan believe things like the 2 HS girls spreading the rumor I wouldn't wait on people till they signed my petition, Not True and people will tell you that. I've put up with people calling me racist. Not true. I hate hate what I see happening to Morgan and I have been trying to do something about it, I'd like about 500 more people to sign the petition, cause I have a big plan for next week. Lots of things going on. I'm planning an attack in the paper and to Cargills customers and will form my own non profit, cause this is costing me alot. I'm having to pay someone to work at the coffee shop while I do my reasearch and write letters. I found out alot after I wrote my letter to Times so it's time for another, love to have a debate with Brenda Zion in the paper cause I could take her down with all the facts and numbers $ I know now. Watch the Times this next week, they printed my last letter. It's going to be interesting, I almost gave up after some people attacking me and spreading rumors, at least they can't say what I have stated and will in the future will be facts, backed up by information from our very own gov. web sites. Really would love to get my hands on a Cargill check stub from one of these people, to prove the taxes they don't pay, anybody...

WorriedMom wrote: I wish it were as easy as to blame Cargill but from what I've been reading, it goes all the way to a national level. The Lutheran Churches need to stop bringing them over and hoping they will convert. If anything bring over the converts and leave the others. This may sound bad but it is what it is. This has become a money making business to these 10 churches and over 400 other org. the gov. calls contractors. They all get gov. grants, Dept.of Human Services gave out 6.2 billion dollars of tax payers dollars in the refugee resettlement program. The State Dept. pays for their plane tickets, a loan, only 1/4 have paid this back, but when it gets paid back, the money doesn't go back to the state dept.(us) it;s paid back to the churches, they get to keep it. The Catholic church got 1.78 billion dollars in grants in this program. So I'm trying to start my own non profit, cause fighting this has cost me lots out of my own pocket and I need more funds and help to start our program to shut this money off, get Cargill's customers on our side and write letters (faxed) to Congress

Here's what: Fear to drive on the streets or walk on the sidewalks the first murder in town in 3 years children run over by laughing somalies special treatment in our schools for prayer OUR women gawked at in public our jobs taken over at local employers public loitering rampant across town the somolia elders are increasingly running this town. we dont need a mayor and city council. you can pat yourself on the back all you want onemorgan county, but your support of these people who will never acclimate to the American way of life or our beliefs, is a joke. The reason these people are brought to the US is our State dept. pays for their plane tickets, and there are org. like One Morgan County in Kenya - they fill out forms for the Somalians to come here, get paid for this, It's kind of like ACORN, they - the 10 churches and over 400 non-profit org. get gov. grants to do this work. OMC has 13 board members, who probably all get paid, esp. Brenda. All of these org. faith-based and others have made money from gee our gov. progams, Look at Dept. of Human Ser. web site-refugee resettlement program millions of taxpyers dollars given to these non profits, they get paid for each one they bring here, so guess what? Plus Cargill gets lots of tax credits - look at Dept. of Labors web sites, they give Cargill a $9000.00 tax credit for each refugee they hire, so guess what?
