This is worse than the Naval Officer that was wearing ribbons he didn't rate. To all the all the real Marines out there...I guess it just shows the extent someone would go to be one of us. Semper Fi. I assume you mean Admiral Boorda (fmr. Chief of Naval Operations) who committed suicide not long after a reporter's story prompted a inquest whether or not Boorda was entitled to wear the valour device on his acheivement and commendation medal. His former CO said he believed that Boorda was entitled, the review board said he did not years after his death. In their finding, the specifically called it a good faith error. In that he genuinely believed it was authorized and did not willfully commit fraud. The medals were deserved, the device was not.

Nice try, try harder next time. If a blatant liberal tool like Rather had to resort to putting b.s documents on t.v, risking his career, then you know there is nothing to it. But then again, the LACK of evidence for conspiracy theorists like yourself, only PROVES the conspiracy. Go back into the closet and put on your tin foil hat.

well, he was against the war and that's good enough for the media to anoint him (at least the Bush version of the war-not a one of the "peace" activists seem to be too upset about the George W. Obama version).

yep, getting the 0 to tell the truth about his goals makes you a target. parroting the media's views on Iraq and being anti-bush makes you a hero.

Another case of people wanting desperately to believe a story that they agree with. The Left has been made fools of time and again by phony "war heroes" who are anti-war, or claim to have seen war crimes.

Screw the "Stolen Valor Act" any person who impersonates a serviceman or lies about service in the military has stolen valor. I don't care if a marine was decorated or not, he served his country and that is valor enough.

No Rather did not lose hid job for that -- he had multiple producers fired, even though he was the person who insisted on the false story and CBS had to pay out millions in lawsuits to the producers who were fired with these false charges. Rather was just pushed to the side and forced to go away in shame, never being remembered as more than a lying hack.(And I don't like Bush, but what Rather did was just sad.)

What does a 9.5% unemployment rate and a market under 9,000 represent? Success??? Oh, and this after $800 billion in "stimulus" to create 3-4 million jobs. Now we're $800 billion more in the hole and we lost $2 million jobs. What's that represent, brilliance?

I love how this so quickly devolves to simplistic liberal Vs conservative BS as usual. Get over yourselves people.
I am a little amused by how threatening this guy’s fraud is to some veterans. I know it’s a brotherhood thing guys, but you know the service you gave and that can’t be taken from you.
