Allegiant Air to offer flights between Long Beach and Colorado Springs

Allegiant still owes me the cost of three seats on a LB-Vegas flight from ten years ago. I bought the plane tickets. A mere two days later, the company filed for bankruptcy and canceled all flights out of LB. Needless to say, I got zero out of the bankruptcy.

It might be fun to ask them now. You never know until you try.

Someone on a plane yesterday asked me if I was one of those positive-thinking people. When I said yes, he said (to my face) that he hated people like that. I said I would try to be more cynical. Thinking about it later, I wished I'd told him something like "we're not a protected class of people like you, so I guess I can't accuse you of hate speech."

My suggestion would be to write a letter to Maury Gallagher explaining the situation, you never know, you might get something out of it. Anything would be better than nothing, and you'd only be out the cost of a stamp. Just a thought ..........

I give it less than 6 months..Maybe they can try direct flights to Kalamazoo Michigan, would make just as much sense.

I hope the city didnt give any tax breaks or other city money to this crooked Nevada outfit. Their flight schedule is a JOKE and something is very suspect here. What kind of traffic can sustain twice a week non-stop service to a little town in the middle of Idaho and another in Colorado. And let's not forget the worst place in California with an airport - STOCKTON! If givien a choice, I'd much rather fly to Modesto.

Why does Long Beach even give this loser airline a single landing slot given the fact that legitimate airlines are starting service here? Is Bob Foster screwing a HQQOKER and Alligeant gave her a job as a pay off?

I have family in Hooterville. When will they start flying there too?

This airline charges you a hidden fee just to BOOK a flight!

One of the start-up airlines out of Long Beach used to route its flights thru Colo. Springs. Similar to CHS I was left holding some useless flight credits when that carrier crashed and burned.

Colorado Springs is a very pleasant little airport, I'll say that.

I live in Idaho Falls and this airline is awful . They bring a enter new meaning to add on fees. Buyer Beware . They at best are a sleazy operation .

Geez, what do you guys have against Allegiant Air? They reorganized after bankruptcy and emerged a totally different company in 2001. Now they're an incredibly strong independent airline and were recently named the top-performing airline in the entire world by Aviation Week magazine. They are by far the most successful airline in the entire country.

They are known for {at least in Idaho] of finding add on charges that the major airlines have not even thought off. Also they do serve many undeserved City's they do not serve the City's system wide. From Idaho I have two choices Las Vegas and Long Beach , After October 3,2010 Los Angles will be dropped. I asked if I could go to the other Cities Chattanooga Tennessee I was told they would only let me go to the to stops I mentioned earlier . They are not user friendly .

I used to work for this airline. The marketing director used to joke about how they sold blankets on the plane then turned the AC way down after take off to get people to buy blankets since they checked their coats in with their luggage when taking off from the hot Las Vegas airport. These people are scum. They had very very deliberate aims of getting you to accidentally purchase things you don't want when buying online from their site, and when you buy at the counter to circumvent their deliberately confusing site, they charge you a fee for not using the site. Scum, scum, scum.
