It would be nice to have a race run on ability alone in Hopewell but that never seems to be the case. The stats from the virginia Supreme court speak,Mr. Sylvester is not effective and does not work well with others.Onthe other side Mr. Newman has won many tough cases and has a good working relationship in petersburg, he also has a good relationship with many in hopewell and support with police and the F.O.P.

Jay the Virginia supreme court does not sugar coat its STATS 2004,2005,2006 Mr. Sylvester had the highest amount of NOLL PROSS and Dismissed cases in the region. The stats you are talking about are because of great police work not Ninos high rate of Noll Pross and dismissed cases!!!!!!!! BUCKSHOT!!!!!!!!!!

Your link has stats that end in 2006- why don't you link to VA State Police's official statistics that keep going on to 2008 and then look at the stats the police chief presented to city council for 2009. Crime is up. You have to be deaf blind or stupid not to see it.

Today I decided to go to Rick Newmans website.
Here’s the link: http://www.newmanforhopewell.com/

More specifically I went to the section and studied his crime statistics for Hopewell.

For some strange reason, Mr. Newmans numbers don’t add up.

I followed a link that he posted on his website to the state police website and studied the State Police statistics personally as they are posted.

Now here is the link to the State Police if you want to do all the research for yourself:
http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Crime_in_Virginia ....

Crime statistics for Hopewell vs. Petersburg for the year of 2008 according to the Virginia State Police Website are as follows:

For Petersburg

Murder rate is 66.67% higher than Hopewell.

Kidnapping and Abduction is 4600% higher than Hopewell.(Yep, that’s four thousand six hundred)

Forcible Rape is 141.67% higher than Hopewell.

Robbery is 238.16% higher than Hopewell.

Aggravated assault is 77.19% higher than Hopewell.

Now I know why he wants to win. He wants a job!

Here’s the real question and the one that concerns me the most!

With this kind of track record, why does his small group of supporters want him to win so bad?

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Virgo

If the past few days have been a blur of cooking, washing up and wrapping paper, take a break today and catch up with loved ones. Have a long talk with one of them so you can find out what they've been doing lately, or discuss a topic that concerns both of you. Right now, you're blessed with plenty of diplomacy so the conversation should go well.
