I am the grandmother of Summer Grace Allison, it was my car that was for raffle in 2009. The car was a 2005 Cadillac STS. The tickets sold were under one thousand dollars total..Summer had a website and a full refund was offered to anyone who purchased a raffle ticket as well as an apology for any inconvenience it caused to anyone. The website which was where people were directed to go to check for updates, was active until 2011, more than two years after the raffle tickets were sold. Only two people asked for their money back and they were refunded immediately. To the person who calls themselves "The Truth" you are a coward for not putting your name with you post; I will be contacting the owner of this website to report you for slandering my good name. My GRANDDAUGHTER has been to China two times for stem sell treatment and how dare you implement her or my family in any fraudulent activity involving fundraising. We have never had any fundraisers at or in Colonial Beach, including High Tides, Lighthouse, or Riverboat. Yes, mister or miss "Truth" you do have the right to freedom of speech but you do NOT have the right to slander people for your own personal entertainment, there are laws set in place for people like you. Before you go running off at the mouth about things you obviously know nothing about you should check your facts. You are poisoning people with lies and innuendo about a blind three year old and her family. If anyone requires further explanation I can be reached at sightforsummergrace@yahoo.com, for that matter I will still give a refund to anyone who has proof of a purchased raffle ticket. Summer's account is set up as a foundation with a federal ID, and all funds are used only for Summer's treatments. As for the other family who is fundraising for their son who is blind, what occurred with their fundraising efforts is between them and the people that donated to their cause and has nothing to do with Sight For Summer Grace. Thank you to those who have graciously supported our precious little Summer Grace and her fight for sight, we are beyond grateful to the charitable community.

Maam with all due respect I have said nothing to slander your name. All I said about you and your car was the truth. You did sell raffle tickets and the car was not raffled and I do know people who were not refunded and knew nothing of this website you speak of for refund. As for fundraisers at restaurants you mentioned, those comments were not about you or your grand daughter. You know who that is and it has nothing to do with you or your family. I thinks it was cleared up by myself and others that we were talking about a little boy. Not your granddaughter. Im sorry you are upset but I did not Slander or lie about you. Everything I stated about the raffle of the car was The Truth! I sincerely wish your Granddaughter the very best.

Elizebeth, after reading this entire thread again you confirmed what "The Truth" stated about your car raffle. Seems as if anyone had a slander case it woud be the truth over you!

I will clarify one last time..THE RAFFLE TICKETS HAD A WEBSITE CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THEM TO REFER TO FOR UPDATES...it was very large print on the tickets that the car would only be raffled off when $50,000 goal was met. When it became obvious the raffle would not meet this goal, it was cancelled. No one in their right mind would raffle a 2005 STS Cadillac for appox.$1000. As I stated before we are more than happy to refund anyone including "people you know." To Cbite, I was called a thief and accused of fraud, so yes that is slander. Implication and speculation without justification is exactly what was done to me on this forum. I honestly do not know how a forum titled "lighthouse steals riverboat poker night" became a discussion about a raffle that had nothing to do with the lighthouse or riverboat. I think this forum is place for people who like to gossip and bully other people, I only responded because I was informed by friends that I was being slandered by cowards who will not identify themselves. I have already contacted the owners of this site and my lawyer Vincent Ventura, and will no longer play into this disgrace of a discussion. Again anyone who has a legitimate raffle ticket and wants a refund can contact me at sightforsummergrace@yahoo.com. I will not be bated into anymore discussion, so no reply is necessary. God Bless

Can anyone show me anywhere in this thread where I called Elizebeth a thief or a fraud? Remember, there are two seperate children who were born blind. One a boy and the other her granddaughter. The concert and the restaurants mentioned involved the little boys family, not Elizebeth or her granddaughter! I will not be bullied by a threat of lawyers or contacting the site administrators. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and have a great week ahead.

Please wait...
This thread while negative at times shows spirit and competition.
In other cities, the competition is so fierce that employees go into other restaurants and bars to "move em" back to their employers establishment.
I wish we had so many restaurants that there were competing events every night of the week. We are not there yet but as we grow and prosper I sincerely believe it will.
